Hi there, my niece and I were goofing around on google and doing peoples names. I did Disney PhD to see what would happen. 1st there were a number of actual PhD's with the last name of Disney (DH is a PhD, so that is where the idea came from for him, but it is not our last name.) There were also a number of links to both wwww.disboards and wdwmagic (where we also use the same screen name.)

It apears to only hit posts that the actual name is in (when someone refers to you.)

Try it, rather fun.. :flower: :cool1: (and a little scary too, don't use your real name for your board name!) :teeth:

If I google my screen name my profile is the 3rd on the list, If I google image it, it brings up the pix I have in the Dis photo section

Ok now I am little scared too. There is pages of it, most regarding PhD's with the last name Disney, many about posts.

Some I can't figure out why the words Disney PhD would be in there, and some are clearly porn posts. Don't want to click on them, but a little concnered. Yuck.

I know many bad sites put all kinds of words in their listings just to get hits, but how did they work those into it? (Like one was naked indain girls) Was it done by a PhD? (It claims to be research!)

Oh the interent can be a good and scary thing. :earseek:

I google "Tinkerbell screensaver" once because I thought it would be cool to have Tinkerbell fly around my computer sprinkling pixie dust everywhere like at the beginning of Wonderful World of Disney (showing my age, I know). Anyway, no site like that but a frightening number of what looked to be child porn sites! I dared not click on them. It made me sick just to see them on google.

Anyway, after reading your thread, I googled my name (not my screen name) and found my husband's on a list of finishers of a 10K race he ran serveral years ago. Except he was on the list of woman finishers!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: Opps. My BIL name is Loren, he has a lot of problems with that. His wife is Cassey and they always think hers is the guys name and vice versa.

Did you ever find your screen saver? We have a pretty cool one with Disney pictures. (I think DH bought it at WDW for $5)

My real name gets some hits professionaly from when I was working, servering on commities and was a superviosr for the MSW program where I graduated from.

I can imagine the words Tinkerbell might get some gay sites.

I've googled mine only to discover there is at least one other person with my screen name on other boards. :earseek:

Was it you that sarted the post the other day about how popular the name was lately? I guess I am not that surprized. :)

Yep, it turns out my screen name is also a type of food in the Star Trek universe. Most of the hits are related to descriptions of the episode.

His name is Pete!! :p He must have checked the wrong box on his application.

I have to check at WDW next time I am there. I never did find a Tink screensaver.

Holy Cow. I've sure got a lot of stuff on the internet. I just found a trip report I wrote in 1996. :rotfl:

Eh, what the heck, anyone bored enough to read it, you can find it here:

Roberta's 1996 Trip Report

Interesting if only because it talks about going on Mr. Toad and Horizons, seeing Illuminations and the once in a lifetime 6:15 a.m. fireworks. :confused3

It's just a list of words embedded in the page - no rhyme or reason. Intended to drive traffic to the site. ugh.

I search 'Bellhop Micah' (That's my screename on most other sites) and it bringd up tons of posts and Tower information. :p

I found me on the DIS and then a few other MosMom's that aren't me. One on a Chocolate Labs site, a gardening site, an ADHD site, and some healthboard site. I never knew there were other MosMom's. :confused3
