I Google myself every once in a while.

Tonight I find:

Me posting comments/questions about computer programming.
Me posting video presentations to my church's website.
Abigail's birth annoucement.
My High school alumni page.
A newspaper article about our Halloween decorations.
Various articles about my dad and brother.

and click "I'm Feeling Lucky"

I goggle myself and anyone else I can think of every so often. Since I am a SAHM now there isn't much recent out there about me (there was when I was working, committees, etc...) DH has a few publications, and some work he did on his PhD that was sited in other peoples work, but it is very boring.

It is fun.

I have an X (who was also a good friend.) I have goggled him a few times but never found much.

It can be fun. Every goggle your Dis name? I have and found many a links, but also many people who's last name is Disney who have PhD's. (my last name isn't Disney and DH is the PhD, I stole his user name.)

Just googled me - well, I'm boring - NADA!!

Out of curiousity, googled an ex from years ago and found out that he now has three children instead of the one that I did know about (names and ages), his grandmother died last year, and he bought a house on his birthday last year - gave the address and everything. Scary that all that personal info was able to be obtained within 15 minutes just by typing in his name and going from there.

I googled myself and found a fake myspace. a fake vampire freaks account (think myspace) a few fake email addresses.

and how do I know they're about me and not someone else with my name?

there happen to be a few pictures and things like that.

As far as myself I don't appear until page 2, but others with my name include a pharmacist, a porn star and an embezzling nurse.

I also have googled a lot of people from my past, mostly out of curiosity. Particularly, I wanted to know the location of the scary ex-bf who I heard had been looking for ME on the Internet and found that he lives in the next town over and about 3 miles from my work! Luckily, I don't think he knows my married name and so he wasn't able to find me.

When googling myself, I do find several others with the same name, but the real me is always the first one to come up. As far as any real information, though, my address and other stuff was never available on the Internet until recently when I finally consented to a credit card in my name.

I have googled a lot of people. Never thought to look up old boyfriends. I have to give that a shot. I come up with a few things on myself, mostly newspaper articles from golf tournaments but apparently I am a well known Square Dancer. I though that was pretty interesting.

I have Googled myself just to see HOW MUCH info people would get if THEY Googled me! Not too much. A press release from a charity event I chaired.

I sometimes Google people I knew in school if they had unique names, just to see what comes up.
