Have you ever "googled" anyone and if so, why?

I googled an old boyfriend from college and found he's been quite successful in his career.... found a number and called to give him kudos and say hi

I googled an old boyfriend too - it was shortly after 9-11, he was in the area and I wondered about him. Turned out he was doing very well, he had become a lawyer (and he was even closer to the 9-11 action than I could have imagined, but safe!!!). We now email each other occasionally (with our spouses knowledge and approval, of course). It was a good thing - we make better friends than we ever made a couple, if you know what I mean!

My best friend dies 6 years ago and they couldn't find out what happened that night, I guess you could say the case went cold. She didn't have any family that was still alive or that I could contact, so I did a google search to see if anything ever came up in the papers.

I don't think that I would ever google a crush from HS, I am too happily married to care!

DSis googled an old crush. He had completely gone from "bad boy" to devoted family man and she found his last letter to his church as he was dying from cancer. She was brokenhearted to know he had died.
