Best Spa experience I've ever had was at the PGA Resort and Spa in West Palm Beach. I spent most of the day there and could barely drive home I was so relaxed!
Not sure where you live in Georgia, but I did a half a day at Jurlique in the mall of Georgia and got a massage, pedicure/manicure, and facial it was wonderful.
Ah Melrosgirl I'm so jealous!! I want to try one of the Hotel Hershey chocolate baths! I actually had a half day reserved for my mom as a surprise but she made me cancel it because she said she would be too uncomfortable going there. I admit it can be intimidating at any spa the first time but it's well worth it!!
I've been trying to decide on whether or not to save up for a spa treatment on our Wonder cruise but there is so much to see and do I don't know if I want to spend the money for something I can get at home.
The Hershey spa is so great. I've also been to spas on cruises and in Las Vegas, but the Hershey one doesn't seem as "snobbish" as some others.
I never go to the spas on the ships anymore because I hate how they push spa items to buy after you are all done. Drives me nuts. (Hershey doesn't push any products on you which is nice.) I always smell like chocolate too, lol, for a few hours. Last time I did the strawberry parfait scrubs and they were just as nice!
I don't know if I could handle a chocolate whirl bath. I keep thinking I would end up trying to eat my way out!! Thanks for the info. I know my mom was worried about the snobbish level. Maybe I'll try again for mother's day!

I live in the NW corner of Georgia. Close to Chattanooga. Maud Madigans is the closest spa, and I've heard if I go there, I may want to stay there forever.
I went to a spa for the first time ever, about 18 months ago. I would love to have one of thoe full day treatments done. A little pampering I heard goes a long way
Only at Disney's Grand Floridian. They give wonderful massages. DD did have a facial last year, they have the Jurlique products and she came home with samples. I'm ready to book a manicure & pedicure for our June/July trip.
Every year DH gives me a spa treatment either on Valentine's Day, or Mother's Day. So I usually go once a year. I love the spa I go to precisely because they aren't snobs - there are lots of posh day spas around here that treat you like dirt - but this one is great, the people are so friendly.
And since I didn't get a spa day this Valentine's Day, I'm looking forward to my Mother's Day Gift! I'm thinking I will go right before our July vacation.
I recently bought one of those bubble mats for the tub that was recommended to me over a year ago (thanks dcgrumpy!)
I love it! But, I think that is as close to a spa as I will get.
