Have you ever felt that everything you do, feel or have done means NOTHING?

Robin, you've touched too many lives for your feelings to be true. I know that's the way you feel right now, but I'm hoping it will pass quickly!!!

{{{{HUGE HUGS}}} to you!!!

:wave2: Just a short wave to say HI and that I am thinking of you!::yes:: Say Hi to Michael for me too!;)

I've had the exact same feeling many times in my life Robin. No advice from me. Just a big {{{HUG}}} and a kind word from someone who has been touched by your kindness.

Robin! I'm sorry you are feeling this way. We all feel this way sometimes, though, I think.

You are raising a wonderful son. I don't think you have fallen short. I think you are a special human and I love you bunches. {{{HUGS}}}

Ah, it's because of all the wonderful threads you have set up on the Universal boards that my family had such a great Universal trip. I appreciate your help very much. Hope you feel better.

<font color=navy>Robin,

I'm sorry you're feeling so blue, yet I'm glad you were able to share with us.

You're one of the most caring people, and there have been so many times when you've reached out to help others. That is so important.

So many of us here care about you, and want you to know that.

:hug: friend

:hug:

Yes, I have felt that way. It really is not a great place to be. Do something for yourself that gives you closure, a puzzle, clean out a junk drawer...that helps me and gives me time to reflect and sort out my feelings...

"God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen. "

I truly hope you feel better soon...

{{{HUGS}}} Robin. I am so sorry that you are feeling this way. I have to admit, I have felt this way when I have had a really bad week, but it always passes. Sending you more :hug: and wishes that this feeling will soon pass.

Don't we all think this way in our lives, some more then others. All I know is I try my best to have a happy medium for myself and helping or being friends with others. As long as I know that I am content in all I do in my life. :D

Oh, Robin, you have accomplished so much both in an earthy sense and in a heavenly sense. I know you have touched my life personally, and I know many others feel the same way. I'm sorry you're feeling down. {{{HUGS}}}

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'" Matthew 25:23

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8

I've read a lot of wonderful comments here that people have written about you and it is apparent to me that you have touched many lives. You should go back over those postings and see how many lives you have had an incredible impact on. It seems to me that there are many people here who care about you and appreciate you very much.

There are a couple of rules that I have tried to instill within myself...

1. Focus my energy on those that I truly care about and respect and those that I feel care about me and respect me. These are the positive things in my life and I don't want to waste my energy on those that don't seem to care about me.

2. I have found that if I let my levels of expectations of others down...I won't get let down or hurt. When you begin to expect things...you are sure to be disappointed.

3. When I do things for others I do it because I have a "want" to do it. I try to do the "right" things as much as possible.

4. Don't sacrifice the true you for those who don't recognize it and can't appreciation the real you!

I hope that you feel better soon!

I'm currently reading the most inspirational book by C.S. Lewis entitled Mere Christianity and I want to share with you something that seems appropriate. It's about doing for others, and getting sidetracked by their responses:

"That is why the Christian is in a different position from other people who are trying to be good. They hope, by being good, to please God is there is one; or,-- if they think there is not -- at least they hope to deserve approval from good men. But the Christian thinks any good he does comes from the Christ-life inside him. He does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us; just a the roof of a greenhouse does not attract the sun because it is bright, but becomes bright because the sun shines on it."

May more sun shine on your greenhouse today!!:sunny:

I don't know about the religious stuff, but the community board needs someone like you!:D

You say what you think! Thats a great trait to have!:D

Robin....I too feel that way sometimes. But like many others have said I just have to get down to the basics of my little family and know that everything is alright.

This might not mean much....but you were the very first person to reply to one of my questions when I first joined the DIS. It's funny but those kinds of things stand out in a person's memory. You were so helpful and friendly. You are making a difference!!

I feel that if I were to die today, that I have accomplished much, have had a good life, loved many, and have been loved.

I am battling breast cancer and am facing a radical mastectomy on 2/11, and I don't know what my future will bring, but I feel fortunate to be alive and have my DH and DD18 with me.

I have a wonderful life and always try to see that others may be worse off than me. It helps me to know that, even with unfortunate circumstances, I can find the good things I have.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but you need to pick yourself up and count all of your blessings. It will do you good and all of those around you.

Just after I told a good friend of mine who was battling breast cancer about my cancer, she told me to try to always have a good attitude as that will reflect on the attitude of all those around me. She passed away 3 weeks after our conversation, and I feel she is watching out for me and I will never forget those words and try to live by them.

Keep your faith...

Robin,

This verse always helps me when I feel that way

Romans 3
22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus

I hope you regain your "groove" soon

I tried to PM this to you but your box is full

{{{HUGS}}} Robin...I know that feeling 100% It really stinks and I hope and pray you do not feel that way long...I know because I am constantly there...Hugs sweetie...

Yes. and Usually a lot.

But I have faith in G-d and pray that somehow even on a little scale I make a difference.

Cheryl
