Have you ever dressed as a Disney princess as an Adult in Disney?

I'm 18 and I'm thinking of dressing up as a Disney Princess on my next vacation in October. Has anyone ever done this? If so, were you mobbed by small children wanting autographs? Also, does anyone know where to get adult sized princess dresses. I'm a size 5. Share your experiences I am very interested in knowing how this would turn out.

My understanding is that adults are not permitted to dress as a character except for during the MNSSHP.

This is my understanding as well. I think you'll only be allowed in during the Halloween Party....I'm not even sure if they'll let you in a 4 pm dressed up as a disney character...you might have to wait till 7pm...

this made me chuckle...all I could think was if I dressed up, some poor child would be scarred for life. They'd be thinking "wow! Cinderella looks alot older/heavier/shorter than she does on tv!" :rotfl:

You guys are making a lot of sense. I really wasn't thinking there would be a rule against it. I just thought it would be super cool. It's soo not fair that little girls can dress up as a princess and I can't :( lol :)

What the other posters say is true. Adults are not allowed to enter the parks dressed as characters. Sorry to rain on your parade :guilty:

I think the rule is in place so that children do not mistake a guest for a character. A young child dressed as a princess is another thing entirely.

When I went to the Halloween party, I dressed as Giselle. I don't resemble the character so no issues with that. I found it on sale on the Disney store website so I don't know that you can get it anywhere now. I often check the Disney store website for adult costumes and sometimes costume websites that sell Disney costumes (searched in Google).

You can enter the park at 4 with the Halloween party ticket. You can be in costume when you come at 4 and many guests do.

if you are planning on going to MNSSHP you may enter with your ticket at 4 then change into your princess attire at 7 for the party. You CANNOT present yourself as the actual character though. You are NOT allowed to take pictures with other guests or sign autographs. Other than that you can dress up. MNSSHP is the only time for adults to do it so why not!

I have a lady online who makes custom outfits and dresses for my girls, she has very cute disney princess dresses, they arn't "dress up" looking dresses, like they don't make you look like you are trying to be the princess but they use princess fabric and are just really cute even for big kids ;)

Maybe I was a cop too long but I saw the rule as protecting kids from something more sinister.

We were thinking of doing Disney Princess inspired Sundresses because we have dreams of dressing up as the princesses.

(and by dreams I mean we've already made Twisted Princesses Alice and Aurora, a Steampunk Belle and are almost done a Rapunzel, Gothel and Flynn Rider(s) )

It's why I am demanding that one of the next trips we take the WDW is during MNSSHP.

PLEASE tell me you have pictures of steampunk Belle! I must see this!

Even with the costume rule, I saw quite the interesting Alice in Epcot one year..she was like a hot topic version....had to be in her 20's.
And if you go to the Halloween party, everyone is entering at 4pm in costumes...it did not seem to be a big deal at all.

Hopefully this works! We don't have any good pictures of it yet (it's still too depressing outside to do a nice photoshoot in the costume) so this is was taken on my cellphone and I forgot to take my glasses off

For obvious liability reasons Disney doesn't want anyone who is not an employee of Disney to be mistaken for an employee of Disney. But I don't think they're worried all that much about molestation.
