Have you ever done something that would shock your neigbors?

DP is a dance instructor and we would host webcam charge shows on the type of dancing she teaches. It is completely clean, but some of the less than progressive types think it is the work of the devil. DP has been teaching now for almost 10 years and has gone to the USPDFA competitions.

When I asked, someone PM'd me that it would be considered UN-DISney friendly to post a link.

Probably!

I know my neighbors have done some things that would shock people on here .

I'm the only NON retired person in my cul de sac. I think the fact that I get up everyday and going to work is a shock enough! :surfweb:

well that explains the pole in the bedroom comment on your other thread:lmao: You never stop do you?:rotfl2:

If it so clean, why did you and DP feel the need to stop it after your DD was born?

We didn't feel the need to stop. We moved several times. The charge is much higher in a studio and there is less of a chance of a cyber stalker when you can do background checks on your clientelle.

:rotfl:

But that was a Festivus pole, like this one, I guess:

festivus.jpg

Dancers use a stripper's pole, which as far as I can tell in Google images, is the same thing except for the base. Festivus poles apparently come on a collapsible base, but stripper's poles are anchored to the floor in a permanent fashion--I guess so the strippers don't fall off.

A word of advice--if you Google "Festivus poles," it may surprise you how many people actually buy and use them (and hence, celebrate Festivus). But do not Google "stripper's poles" if you're at work or little kids are around. ;)

But I do not think she ever said Festivus pole (I could be wrong) the talk was of festivus but the comment was a pole (in the bedroom I think, again could be wrong, it jumped out at me as an odd place for it) because they can. I think there was a lot of insinuation there.

Do you TELL your clientelle you are doing background checks on them?!?! I find that very odd in deed.

I think my neighbors would be shocked to know that I'm a very nice person :)
They haven't bothered to get to know me after I really didn't have the time to sit around and drink wine and get drunk at 3:00 in the afternoon as my kids are getting home from school.:)

Somewhere back in ToC's gift thread, he/she mentioned having a Festivus pole. It totally cracked me up, but since Googling, I see that ToC is not the only person out there with one. You can even buy one on-line.

So, ToC, did you tell us your gender yet? Originally, I thought you were a gay female, but now I'm wondering if you're a man.

Are you my neighbor? Seriously!?!? You're in Columbus Ohio (as am I) and I swear most of my neighbors do this. I am SHOCKED at how many of my neighbors walk around the bus stop with beer bottles/cans and then hang outside drinking all afternoon. Guess there's not much else do here so this is their form of entertainment.

The first time I went to WDW with people I never met shocked everyone. They were all teasing me I was going away with axe muderers.
.

Okay--she did not say the pole was in the bedroom (and I know it came up while talking about Festivus and that Festivus pole is implied BUT the way this particular poster likes to play with words I think she called it only a pole for a reason:rotfl

"We refer to the celebrations in which we participate as Festivus. We know what they are called and do call them that, but to others we follow others and refer to the whole celebration in general as Festivus. (We do have a pole for because we can)"

If I were your neighbor the fact that you snoop on your paying clients in this way is what would shock me, not the dancing.

I'm Pagan, and I do a lot of my rituals on the Sabbats out in my backyard. We had someone call the police when I was doing a ritual once, it was really, REALLY funny when the cop showed up.. and he was Pagan too :)

I think the OP likes to shock people.

That is awesome. :rotfl:
