Have you ever been upgraded at CBR?

Thanks for posting all of those great photos, Lisa. It's funny because I never really thought about staying at CBR, I was all ready for POR until I heard about the Pop Warner crowds there when we are so I started looking at CBR and I am so impressed. THe more pics I see and threads I read, the more excited I am to stay. The courtyard looks lovely. I can see myself right now relaxing out there early in the am drinking my coffee . Thanks again for sharing and making my decision so much easier! I'm going to book a standard view, request a courtyard view, and when we get there we'll see what we get (and back to the original poster, see if we get an upgrade Either way, I'm sold on CBR

Just for further clarification (not that anyone asked ) ....

When you make a reservation without paying for any upgrades, it's a standard room. You can place a request on your reservation for a courtyard view, but there's no way for the reservation to be coded with the type of standard room you want. Hopefully, the room assigner will notice the request and be able to fill it, and if not, hopefully the front desk CM will be able to fulfill your request. But like I said, it's nothing that can be signed-sealed-delivered way in advance, because the Central Rreservations computer system doesn't have codes for sub-categories within categories. Same thing for water view. You reserve water view, but there's no way to reserve a view of the lake OR the view of a pool ... that can only be done at the resort level.

We ended up with a courtyard right outside our door in March this year -- it was a GREAT place to relax and very quiet, too!
