Sarcastic...
I am the least sarcastic person walking the planet(i do not think of myself as being brave enough for being sarcastic)... I would not know the meaning of the word,.. If someone approached me & asked if i had low self esteem, or if i had a problem with my confidence . then i would agree.... But sarcastic i am not (i don`t think)...Maybe it`s the way i type... I do not know whether to feel upset or maybe a little pleased that someone on another board thinks of me like this....What do you think honest answers only please...Oh & by the way i have prepared myself for the bad ones....(i think)....( I do believe i AM a genuine honest person)

I guess it depends on the meaning the person has for sarcasm. I know I use it in a way that is probably not the real meaning. In fact, after a recent reminder thread about policies on the CB, I looked up the word sarcasm (since that was one of the specific things not allowed) and was relieved that I don't fit the official definition.

Sarcasm

2 a : a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual b : the use or language of sarcasm

I think I am actually more guilty of being witty or, at times, fascetious.

Witty
1 : amusingly or ingeniously clever in conception or execution
2 : marked by or full of wit : smartly facetious or jocular
3 : quick or ready to see or express illuminating or amusing relationships or insights

Facetious
1 : joking or jesting often inappropriately
2 : meant to be humorous or funny : not serious

At various times, I can be all three of those, but I'd like to think I tread the witty/sarcastic line. I try not to be facetious, but sometimes I am.

My DH says he won't argue with me because I'm too sarcastic...
however I've beed "tagged" as not being witty...

I'll admit to being sarcastic, though not on these boards...
and despite my "tag", my friends (and DH) think I'm pretty clever...maybe it's just these boards?...I'm a little shy till I get to know ya...

Also being called sarcastic is one of the nice things I have been called. I also have a couple of other names.....
