Have you ever been able to pre-pay your BRP reservation?

WDW is not letting me add money to my BRP reservations. I have been on the phone with several people and this seems to be the conclusion. It's difficult to believe they don't want my money early. If you have been able to add money to your reservation please tell me how.

Thanks!

You cannot pay more than the one night deposit which is required at time of booking. I have not been able to get an answer as to why they won't take our $$$ in advance. All I am told is the on-line BRP booking system does NOT permit prepayment. I am with you - I can't believe Disney will not take my money in advance.

There is a post stuck at the top of this board regarding this matter. No online "ROOM ONLY" bookings (whether best rate or rack rates) can have additional payments made to them. Their system will not accept anything more than the original deposit, and if you do happen to get a CM that takes the payment from you it will be refunded back to your credit card.

Thank you , ladies! My DH just reminded me that, if indeed, we show up to pay with our normal bank debit card then we will be limited to $1,000 per day. Since we will not be able to cover our balance with less than $2,000 then we had better invest in traveler's checks. What a pain... I wish they would just take my payments of $500 until it's paid off. :confused3

If you do a search you will see that quite a few of us are a little agitated that Disney won't take our money. I like to have as much of my vacation paid for in advance as possible. On another thread someone had decided to use their cc to buy Disney dollars (in order to earn points), then just pay off their room with the Disney dollars. This is probably what I'm going to do.

Someone else suggested just prepaying your credit card for the amount of the room ressie. I like to keep a zero balance on my Disney Chase card and if you go online they won't let you pay more than you owe, so I'm not allowed to prepay my card.

Yeah, it seems hard to believe that Disney doesn't want our money.

So if you didn't make your room-only reservation online you should be able to pre-pay the room expense before you check-in?
I made our room-only reservation through CRO (using a AAA discount) for next October and I planned to pay it off with my Disney Visa a couple of months before arrival so I can earn my Disney Reward Dollars.

Thanks,
Debbie

I wonder if it is because of the non-refundable deposit? If they allowed pre-payment of the rest of the room, and you canceled your ressie it would probably be much more difficult to sort out how much money you could be refunded. Shouldn't be more difficult, but I guess there is just more potential for mistakes.

A couple weeks ago I tried on line to pay our trip off but could not do it, so I called WDW and the guy I talked to went ahead and applied the remainder of what was owed on my credit card. When we got our statement we noticed that we had a credit a few days later for the same amount. I called and found out that you can not pay the remainder until check in. Thought that that was really odd.
