...a Harbor hotel like BWPPI or Desert Inn if you can park for the day at their hotel (and pay of course)?

It's almost always for guests only, and many have strict policies on how many cars you can have per room. If you're meaning you just don't want to pay for parking at the parking structure, I don't think this plan would work.

I doubt most places will alow this. Most places across the street barely have enough for their guests with strict 1 car policies.

Yes, I know about that as we've stayed/parked at one before, I was just seeing if it was doable for the convenience not the fee. I have a grandma and and little one going and thought it would be nice to have car across the street so they could go back and forth if necessary. Not a biggie, just didn't know if anyone tried this or not!!

Yes, and now some are even charging for parking FOR GUESTS. Just didn't know if someone has tried this! Thanks!

Parking at the structure is $14 and the tram is free. :) I imagine if you asked a hotel you'd be told no, there have been times we've been told we cannot stay in the lot after we've checked out of the hotel, but we've still been charged a parking fee....never staying at that hotel again. LOL

The Anaheim Sheraton charges guests $10 per car per day for parking. Although they are not really a 'walkable' hotel, they do have a very reliable shuttle bus that leaves every half hour for the park.

We've had friends meeting us at the park while we were staying at the Dessert Inn, and although they have PAP's and don't pay for parking, we were planning on going out to dinner after the parks together on a couple of the times we were meeting up. Parking at DI&S allowed us to not have to tram back to their car and then circle back around to go to Tony Romas (two doors down from DI).

Dessert Inn allowed me to let them use their parking lot to park for the day. I just had to give the information to the front desk and then when my friends showed up, they had to give our name and room number and were issued a parking pass for the day and then met us in the park. We didn't have our own car there because we use a car service, so that may have been the difference though. It was also during the week, so a less busy time for the parking lot.

Do you have friends staying at either of those hotels who don't have their own car? It's worth having them ask if that is the case.

Hope that helps.

I read a report on Laughingplace that BWPPI now charges $8 a day to park there.:scared: They must be on drugs! $4 I can see; but $8? :sad2:

Yes I have asked and no you can't, unless you are a guest, on checkout day they will sometimes let you stay until about 2pm. DI let me stay parked until about 3ish because my flight took off about 5. The only one that will let you stay parked until midnight on checkout day is Anaheim Plaza, but not unless you are a guest of course

we stayed at the Ramada MainGate this past weekend, and while checking out there were people paying to park there for the day. I believe it was $10.

I know a couple of years ago Anaheim Plaza hotel would let you park there for a fee but they are not right across the street. We had a friend coming down for the day to meet up with us. You could call them and see if they still allow it.
