just because?

Im just curious whats out there so I started looking there were several that I think would be a good fit (theyre for dh). Now I know that he is supposed to be getting that promotion and he will get the first level of that promotion in a couple of weeks but there is talk that he may have to wait a while before he gets his own territory.

Anyway, he asked me this AM to start looking just in case.

I found some in Hawaii. I have no idea why I applied for them for him but I did lol.
Who knows if he'll even get a call... oh well.

Have you ever applied for a job just because?

In Hawaii??? LOL! That's great! I hope he gets a call! Wouldn't that be fun!

I applied for a job and actually got an interview a while back. I didn't get it, but it really felt good knowing that they were at least interested enough to talk with me. As I told my DH, it's a lot easier to read a rejection letter while sitting behind your desk at a job you don't mind.

No, I never did. And I never applied for a job for someone else. Just curious, why were you applying for your DH?

Fojmo - I believe the answer was "just because" you know kind of for fun.

DH decided that he was tired of teaching and wanted to try something else. He started searching around online and applying for different government positions. I really only took him half seriously, because he had taught for 9 years.
I was surprised that he got so many offers as quickly as he did. Well, I consider it quickly. He started applying in the fall of 2001. By late spring of '02, he had been offered 4 different postions from NY to FL.

I just applied cause he wanted a back up in case the job he has now doesnt pan out the way we were promised it would. Hes been here 5 1/2 years so he has job security its just an idea I guess . He asked me to this morning so I tweaked his resume ( it was allready on Monster so it didnt take much) at this point its more of just reading the job postings and hitting "apply" if it looks interesting.

The cost of living in Hawaii is horrible... $5 for a gallon of milk, if you are lucky! We won't even talk about gas prices either....

I apply DH for jobs as well... I know what his skill set is, and his experience.. (we worked in the corporate world together once upon a time!)... so it works for us..
