I was at BWV in early August...fifth floor one bedroom, over the Crest of the Wave area. It was terrific. Housekeeping was good, there were some issues (lightbulbs missing, ceiling fan out of order) but maintainence got there quickly and took care of everything.
I was in a studio a week or so ago...again, fifth floor, overlooking the pool area. It was a strangely shaped studio, because it was on a curve of the building, so it was much larger than other studios I have been in. But, the armoire was badly in need of replacement. The doors in front of the television were broken, the drawers stuck badly. I did let them know before I checked out, but don't know if it will be addressed. Housekeeping was out of this world. Since I was staying on my DVC points, I was entitled to a 'trash and towel' day, mid-stay. I arrived on a Thursday and was scheduled for TandT on Sun or Mon. But, when I returned to my room on Friday, new towels, toiletries were left for me. Again, on Sunday, I got back to find fresh towels and shampoo/cond/soaps and dish detergent! On Tuesday, I arrived back in my room midday, to find my bed made!!! I ususally make my own bed each day, but didn't that one day because I was leaving the next day. So, I just straightened it a bit. Housekeeping remade it for me, as well as toiletries left again. I was so surprised by this. Completely unexpected.
I have had rooms over the village green, over the Community Hall bldg, Luna Park pool, and on the boardwalk itself. Each view has had it's own charms. But, the one thing I do request, every time, is to be as high up as possible.
