I have eaten there twice and loved it both times. It seems like I have read some negative things about it over time, but many had to do with the menu selection, the prices, and that the service was slow.
I think people can avoid the menu and price issues by looking at the menu online ahead of time. I did not have a problem with the service either time.
Here are some things I have had; although it looks like the menu changes:
In 2009, Ciambottino - Ciambottino-marinated olives, salame, mozzarella, and caper berries on romaine. (This was heaven - I love olives and the big caper berries.)
Also, in 2009, Ravioli Gigante - A house specialty. Hand crafted ricotta and spinach filled oversized pasta with tomato, basil and toasted garlic. (yum, yum, yum)
About two and a half years ago we were there and my husband and I split the woodfire pizza which we loved and some kind of duck and pasta dish which I don't see anymore. Also some kind of appetizer that had lots of Italian meats and cheeses.
At that time, I also had the best taramisu I had ever had - it was individually constructed in a big cup - but when I went last year they had changed it to more like a sheet cake that they cut pieces of. Probably more cost efficient to make it that way. Still good, but not like it was.
Hope that helps a little!
