Have you eaten at Kouzzina?

If so, what was your experience?

I'm considering eating there one night, mostly because it's at BW. I've looked at the AllEars restaurant reviews and it's gotten REALLY mixed reviews. Some people give it a 9/10, and others have rated it as low as a 1/2.

What do you think? Is it worth it? I don't want to do Flying Fish, just because dh is going to balk at having to wear a collared shirt in that heat...

My family ate here for dinner a few weeks ago and had a really nice meal there. Like you, I mostly just chose it because it was at BW (we were staying at the Boardwalk Villas), but I ended up being very pleasantly surprised. The service was pretty good and the food was delicious, I really enjoyed the spreads appetizer they have and the Pastitsio. My parents thought it was excellent as well. I think it might've helped that we got there right when it opened (our ADR was for 5:05), so it wasn't crowded at all while we were there. Although it sounds like other people have had less pleasant experiences there, I'd definitely recommend it based on my family's meal alone.

We were also apprehensive because of the mixed reviews, but we decided to see for ourselves and we're glad we did. The food and service were outstanding! And we now have a favorite Greek beer-- it's called "Mythos". :thumbsup2

I like it, but I like Greek food. I had the pork chop, and thought it was really good.

I have eaten at all but about 5 TS places at WDW and this was one of the worst meals I've ever had. I selected the waiter's recommendation and could not eat it. My husband said his entree was okay but he agreed that he'd probably skip this place if he had a do-over.

FYI, you do not have to wear a collared shirt to FF. Dress code only calls for no tank tops on men, no shirts with graphic or offensive prints and no hats. T-shirts are perfectly acceptable.

What did you and your DH have for your meals?

First of all, no collared shirt required at Flying Fish, although DH always wears one.

Second of all, we had dinner at Kouzzina during their soft opening last September and it was one of the best meals we had on that trip--food, service, everything.

Kouzzina has gotten very mixed opinions here on the boards as well.

I didn't enjoy my meal there. The service was poor and everything was WAY over-salted.

I like the cuisine and would love a Greek place at WDW, so I'm considering giving it another try at some point though.

We ate there in March, our food and service was very good.

DH had the Stewed Cinnamon Chicken
Friend #1 had the Wood Fired Pork Chop
Friend #2 had the Lamb Shank

I had the Fisherman Stew, it was delicious. One thing about the stew it's very spicy with a little bite.

We all enjoyed our meal and will return.

I love the Flying Fish and the dress code is casual.

Your husband can go to Flying Fish without a collared shirt. I've seen plenty of men in there without one.

Thanks, y'all...I appreciate the feedback and the information on the collared shirts. I really hate when they release information that says one thing, but accept another. ::sigh::

Hmmm...I think I'll have to nix Kouzzina. The reason we're chosen not to go to Coral Reef is because the reviews are as mixed as Kouzzina's are. :(

I just had breakfast there. It was excellent. Even the server was good for once.

Collared shirts are not required at Flying Fish. The only things against their "dress code" would be swimwear, torn clothing, tank tops or hats on men, and tee shirts with "offensive" slogans or graphics.

We had excellent breakfasts there as well. We liked it so much, we went a second time.

Even tho the reviews for dinner are spotty, we're going to try it based on our breakfast experience.

But we're still eating at FF. We love that place. If I had to choose between the 2, FF would win.

We had dinner there in October. Overall as a family it was our favourite meal ever anywhere!!!!

We had the sampler starter, could have just dined on two of those to be honest. DD had the kids chicken with sweet potatoes which she loved, I had a fantastic steak and DH had the fish which he said was wonderful. Only average main was DS and he had the pork. Desserts were amazing for three of us (one donuts, one hot choc cake and kids pizza) and not brilliant for one (cookies). Coffee and wine flight were fabulous. Booked to go again in October.

Negatives often mention the service, we had excellent service but it was fairly slow.

We were a party of 7 (6 adults, one 9 yr old) celebrating a 50th birthday there last December. Everyone raved about their food, our server was beyond outstanding, and DH and I are already booked for a dinner there in November. We tried several appetizers, drinks, and entrees among us. I had the veggie entree, DH had the Fisherman's Stew, someone had a lamb burger. My DSIL has some complicated food allergies and they were very accommodating.

Highly recommend it.
