Have you done Blizzard Beach AND Typhoon Lagoon in the same trip?

Just wondering if we should plan two days of our 6-Day trip to try both water parks? :cool1:

If you are staying onsite and you love the water parks consider going for the 9am or earlier EMH opening - you could get on all the attractions before noon, grab some lunch and a snooze and then head somewhere else in the afternoon - this way investing about 1/2 a day in each waterpark

Personally on a 6 day trip, we would do one or the other

Sometimes we turn the top logic on it's head (we do have PAP's) and we go to a park in the morning have lunch and a bit of a rest and then head to a waterpark around 3pm when the crowds are thinning out

I think it depends on you and your family. Sorry to be so general but my husband and son LOVE the waterparks, to them the water parks are 2nd only to Space Mountain. I like it, but it's not relaxing. You know a waterpark is still a lot of walking, waiting in lines, etc.
But I think there's enough at both parks to take up 5 hours. You could try to do a couple key things in each park one time thru (unlike my family - if we love something at the waterpark we do it 3 times+ DS7 and DH acts like 7) and also allow a little time to "relax" in their wave pools.

We did both last year in our 6 day vacation, a day in each. Both of my boys thought it was worth it. I would have liked to try to do one in the morning, break for a very very casual lunch, then do the other. That way I don't have to deal with it anymore.

We all (including me) loved the Slush N Gusher (don't know if that's the right name) but it was really fun!!
By the way, we did not have time to visit DTD at all and we had very little time at our resort pool. I blame the two full days at the waterparks and too much time at MGM - at least 3 visits to MGM.

We loved the water parks so much our next trip we will spend 3 days in the water parks and one day hopping between MGM and Epcot. Like my kids said... what could be better than spending a day at a waterpark and going to O'hana and Le Cellier at night?

We are there usually for 10 days this year 11 we get 5 water park trips with our tickets we bought so will do both parks for sure, as we did last year aswell!! My kids LOVE them

Depends on when you go and the age group of your party. If you are going during hot time then you may want to plan more days. Since in the summer the park hours are longer so you can do the water parks and the major parks same day. Also, if you have older kids then they would enjoy the water parks more then the hotel pool. On the other hand, if you are going in winter or have toddlers too short to get on the water slides then plan on using the hotel pool.

Going to both water parks this summer and plan to do them both in the same day, I really think it depends mostly on how much you enjoy the parks once you get there.

We did both during a 1 week trip, which was our first trip so we wanted to try everything. Did two separate days, and afternoon visits after the crowds were thinning out. Overall we were disappointed in the slides at TL, but loved the shark reef and the lazy river were very good and the theming is very good - a beautiful park. We fell in love with Blizzard Beach. Overall, BB is probably my favorite park at WDW - we have never missed it since, and we have not gone back to TL since. But, this trip we now have a 15 month-old, so we probably going to just to TL this year, because it has a better "kiddie" area and is overall more mellow. Also they have the new ride that I want to try.

This is a very personal decision - don't go by what others have done. Some families, as have posted, love the water parks above even the "main" parks. Other poeple can really take or leave water parks. I agree that they take a lot of energy. I would not try to do both water parks in one day. Just too much, and you lose a lot of valuable time in transit (closing up camp, turning in locker key and changing to leave one park, getting to the other park, and then re-renting a locker, setting up, getting ready, etc.).

A lot of it depends upon how many times you've been there recently and how much time you have to spend.

We're probably going to do both this trip but we have 10 days rather than 6. On our last 9 day trip we did one.

One tip. Do them monday through thursday if school is in session. You'll find them less crowded.

Went to BB for the 1st time last year, and we all loved it - we want to try out TL this time, maybe even both. I was thinking, go on days where there are EMH at night. Water parks close at 5 in Oct. (when we are going) so we can go have dinner and then if we can still walk, hit the EMH. The crowds are not bad that time of year, and the kids love staying up late in the parks! Then I don't feel like we used up our days at the water parks.

Yes, we did (or attempted) both last year on a six day trip. We got rained out of BB after riding about 3-4 rides.

We are doing both this Sept. too on our 7 day trip. To us it makes it a must more relaxed trip. Having 2 days being able to cool off all the time and we didn't seem as tired.

We did both last summer. We had a 13 night trip so we more than had the time for them. We love the water parks, but I have to have really warme weather in order to enjoy them. If you have a trip scheduled for the winter months, the iffy weather may make you change your plans.

We are definitely going to hit one of the 2 parks this fall. We are looking forward to lower crowds compared to the summer months.

We are planning both in one day this trip.....but note that the busses do not run between TL and BB...we are planning on taking a cab, and knwing that the second one we choose will be JAMMED.....since getting there in the afternoon! And it will use 2 addmissions.
