Hello!

Just wondering if anyone has been to the Epcot's Flower and Garden show this year or in years past? My husband and I would like to go in 2004. I'd love to hear your comments on it and what's not to be missed.

Thanks! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

My husband and I go to the Flower and Garden show every year.
We've never attended any seminars, we just love looking at all the flowers and gardens! :)
The weather is usually gorgeous this time of year too, although it's been really hot this year.
Plan on going near the beginning of the show and you'll have a better chance that it won't be so hot.

We just got back from it last week. We mostly just walk around and enjoy the flowers. We do not take in any seminars although we did stop by and see the Backyard Gardener, Paul somebody. Since I travel with a pre schooler we always hit the kid areas. They have a neat dog maze there this year that she has fun at. Epcot wasn't crowded at all which is usually how I find it every year. My mom always makes sure and buy some exotic flower there. Last year was some orchids. This year she bought those plants they make leis out of. Can't think of the name! Anyway we just walk around and enjoy the sites. No schedules. Just relaxing.

Was it Tuberose? That's my fav. I'm going in a few weeks. If they have that, I'm buying some. LOVE that flower!

Yes, we have been, and it's really beautiful. I TRY to grow flowers every year and am moderately successful - but man, that Epcot thing blows me right out of the water!;)

We have been twice and absolutely love it. The flowers & topiaries are beautiful. It's so hard to describe all the wonderful extras around!

No it wasn't that. It started with a "P" I think. I just left a message for her to call me and let me know what it was. I'll tell you when I find out.

My mother just got back to me. She said they are Plumerias. She bought them at a kiosk in the Land building. The kiosk was near the food fair on the first floor in front of that gift shop.

We just go back and the topieries were wonderful. I loved Mickey and Minnie swinging and the car's headlights light up - very cool also the artist pallette and Mickey and Minnie at the entrance are breathtaking. My mom took the garden tour- it cost 50. with DC discount it wads a birthday gift- with park entry and taxi it cost 150. to do and she said it was good but a bit long and boring when the man stopped in empty lots to talk about other things besides flowers. She did get a gift and no food for 3 hours of walking. She said it was worth it but would not do it more than once.
