Have you been polled?

I thought this would be interesting. I personally have not been polled once. I have received calls from a particular party asking whether or not they have my support but have not actually been polled by gallup, zogby, rasmussen, etc.. I know a lot of people who say they are polled several times a week but not once for us. How about you?

Same here. No one in my entire family has been polled either. The majority of my family is Republican.

I'm an Independent and have been polled 5 times. They called 6 times, but one time I decided not to answer questions. My DH is Republican and he answered the phone once and was polled.

I was wondering if it also had to do with donating money? We've donated money to Hillary, Obama, and McCain, so I was wondering if there were polls going off of that? I'm just trying to figure how they get their polling #'s from. Our phone # is also listed...

This is very interesting. Both democrats and republicans are almost even in this poll. They say there have been more polls in the last month that there were in all of 2004, however, most people say they haven't been polled and don't know many who have. My grandparents get polled several times a week, they are registered democrats, my mom was polled a couple of times this month and she is also registered democrat. Other than that none of my friends have been polled either, however, my grandma says that most of her friends are polled constantly as well. I wonder if they are concentrating on older voters in their polling, or maybe it's just that those are the people who are most often home all day and answer the phone.

My DH was polled for Ohio. Problem is that we live and vote in Maryland. Even when he told the pollster that he no longer lived in Ohio, they continued. Eventually DH hung up on them since they took forever with push polling techniques.

The manager called back to ask why he had hung up on the pollster.

Anyway, he's probably counted as "undecided" for most races in Ohio (he kept answering that he didn't know who was running since he didn't live there), so take polling with a grain of salt.
