Well, I am going back!!

I am beeing a "black sheep" though...staying at POP for the marathon. I will be there 1/6-1/10. eed to go fill in dates in fred's db. BT and ead and Fred...can I join the minimeet? We will leave on the 10th, so we would have to meet for breakfast or lunchif everyone wants to meet onteh 10th. (Look at me...ASSUMING you all will let me "tag along".)

I also have to add a new counter.

I've got big news We have not been home for a week yet and DH and talked last night. We are planning two return trips. I am so amazed. My DH said our first and recent trip was a once in a lifetime. But, he feel in love with AKL, and the parks and CL.

February - before the rates go up. Thinking of staying at the Poly. BUT, in my research all I read and see in the pictures shows queen beds. Do they have any rooms in CL with Kings?

November/December, 2005 - Booking AKL CL for the week after Thanksgiving.

Question - I need to ask. How are the crowds and weather during scheduled LL meet in May? We could...possibly change our February dates for May, but I need some motivation.

Floridafam, I think it makes sense to grab AKL while you can, with everything about to change again...Enjoy it!

We stayed at Pop twice for hurricane evacuation and we loved it.

The food court is very nice and the rooms are clean and new. The pools are also very nice.

Have a great time.

We went last May and are going again this May. The crowds were not very heavy but it was very hot.

Yes, one of the reasons AKL won out was the fact that we may not be able to do the Sunrise Safari next year with a new little one.

Crowds are managable and the weather is PERFECT!

Poly King beds are ONLY in the Tonga suites, the Ambassador or the King Kamehameha. Princess Suites only have 2 queens in each bedroom.

It looks like we've got another DH "convert".

Aww....that's not going to work for me. We are actually arriving on the 10th around 6pm at WL so we plan on getting a late dinner at the hotel then relaxing a bit.

Any other day I can probably arrange to have some time for a hello!

Many a time we've stepped off the plane and the first words out of DH's mouth is "wow! It's cooler here in Orlando!"
Remember...he was raised in Houstin, TX...hot and HUMID!

Awww nuts, Fred! I was hoping you could join us! We could head over to the WL for dinner, but I think my fellow travelers (my mom, best friend, and her mom) will want to be back at Epcot in time for Illuminations. If that doesn't work for you and BT, perhaps we could meet up to watch Illuminations at Epcot while nibbling a yummy dessert. I'm up for pretty much anything, but this will be my best friend's mom's first time at Epcot, and she wants to take it all in.

NO luck on the trip... but I wanted to say CONGRATS to BT for finally getting the suite she deserves! We just had that "I don't care how many times you go to Disney but you can't go concierge every time" talk on the cell. My retort was "Never say the Kissimmee word again!" He agreed it was drastic. We shall see. I have a pile of bills to slog through over the weekend. I'll see what is left after I pay some things off early!

THere are so many of you that will be there during December; I'd love to meet you then! There is a whole group during MLK weekend too, so whichever I end up going, I'll be with fellow lizards over drinks!

Oh Debbie...Forget the CL and just be happy with your savanna view! My first stay was Concierge and then I went back for Spring Break w/ savanna view. It was still so wonderful!! Don't give up!!

I agree! Besides, you can always get upgraded at check-in!

Morning all!

I am so excited to be going for this quick trip in January! I really need a WDW "fix"! I am also kind of excited to be checking out POP. We will have to work on maybe getting some folks together for brunch/lunch. I don't think I will be able to meet up on the night of the 10th (have to be back at work on the 11th, so need to fly out on evening of the 10th!). So I will definitely miss Fred and family, hopefully we can meet up with BT and EAD (BT sent you a pm)

WEll leaving all kinds of breakfast goodies on the sideboard...especially REAL oatmeal for those that are missing it (even some made especially for storybookmum and Meredith).

Hope everyone has a safe and FUN Halloween! (BTW, I am dressing up as a WDW tourist for Halloween...will have my "guest of Honor" pin my lanyard and of course Mickey socks, along with my backpack and sun visor/hat! My son thinks I really have lost my mind!)

I agree with both of you. If I can pull this off, Savannah view will be perfect! I thought about even down grading to standard view and saving the money, but the view is something we truly enjoy. I have a new little brother to see, too!

Cajunfan>> DS and I loved POP! We both agree that it was small and we missed the view, but the entire area is just so upbeat that it really makes you smile! You definitely can't beat the price! You're going to have a great time! I was also a WDW tourist at school! The kids loved my pins, as they'd never seen a collection of Disney pins like that! (I don't have that many, it was just the concept of Disney pins that enthralled them). My entire entourage of stuffed Disney characters also made an appearance and were a big hit.

DH is up north in the UP doing his thing this weekend so I have no updates on the vacation? or no vacation? saga in the W household. Stay tuned for future updates! LOL

Cap machine recleaned and fresh pastries put out! *I hijacked from chocolate croissants from the S/D!* Enjoy!

Bambi and anyone else who might be able to shed light on this.....I'M CONFUSED!!!!!

The 5 of us (DH, DD, DS, our yet to be born infant, and myself) will be at WDW in Dec. 2005. We were set on GF RPC deluxe but up until this point were unable to get the room type wit a AAA discount. I just called on a whim today and GOT IT! Now I'm holding a ressie for CR 14th floor and GF RPC deluxe. The GF is awesome at Xmas (or so I've heard)! and the deluxe rooms are bigger than the standards on the 14th floor at CR. However, there have been so many raves about 14th fl. CR lately that now I'm confused. DO I give it up for GF/RPC? I'd like to decide soon as I don't like holding two ressies for people who are looking for the room I have booked!
