I'm so excited! I just applied AP discount to my October trip LVC at Poly. I'm not real happy that Disney has switched to a flat $ off vs. a % so now I've got to convince myself that CL is worth the extra $100 vs. $60 I was hoping for per night (EASY to do with 3 small kids) and LV-$85 extra per night-not so easy but I'm too afraid to try GV. I'd save about $600 but what if I hate and I've spent $3300 for a room I'm not happy with. OK I'm worth the extra $600! DH could care less. I think kids will enjoy to view too-especially watching the fireworks and EWP from the room in PJ's.

Less than 60 days to go and I already can't sleep! Well, I best get back to work so I can pay for this trip!

I got an e-mail code for passholders direct from Disney. It's the $49, $79, and $151 rates for value, mods, and deluxe, respectively. Dates were from 10/31 to 12/25 with black-outs for Thanksgiving and November 10-13. Since it came out today, I'm guessing a general code will be hot on its heels!

Wow! Congratulations, lovesdumbo! You are so lucky! CRO told me this AM that the AP code was not available for Poly concierge in October at all, and she was very nice - checked every which way, day by day. I'll keep trying, but it looks like we're stuck with rack rate for our room and for in-laws room. I think next year we'll start doing November trips instead of October. She did have a whole bunch of suites at various resorts, incl. one at GF, a honeymoon suite at WL, and a garden suite at BWI. Kind of makes me wonder if what's "available" is based on something in your personal file. OK, now I sound paranoid, don't I? LOL!

Donna-SOOOO sorry....I'm usually not so lucky. Have you tried night by night? Or AAA-especially since I just changed mine-shouldn't that open up a AAA discount? I'm so relieved to have recieved the discount. I really didn't want to try another resort as I just can't imagine staying any where else this year-in fact I think I would have paid rack just to be sure my DH feels comfortable. Will you stick with Poly? Hope we can meet up-I think you'd love my shy girls and politician boy (we haven't figured out where he came from as both DH & I can be shy but he's really good for all of us!). What time did you call? I got on the phone around 7:05 but was on hold for at least an hour before I got through. I read another thread that said no AP on Poly CL for Oct too. Now I feel special!

Congrats to everyone who was able to use that AP code that came in our emails! *I am sure the others will be out tomorrow!* As is written in my signature, I have been BANNED from making reservations and it is SOOO hard not to do that right now! Last night I found myself at airtran.com with no real trip to book, checking out dates, noticing I could do a few four day weekends REALLY cheap! Ohhhh the agony!

Is it safe to let you in the lounge? Maybe you need to just grab a quick drink and cookies and not hang out with all us talking about AP discounts and cheap air fares. How will you ever resist?

Donna- I just read this on another thread:
"Well, I came out of my conversation more confused than ever. First, there were no rooms at all...then as we talked a few popped up...however, they were only suites. She said that the only resorts that were supposed to be available TODAY were Contemp, AKL, Mods, PC, and ASSpo. She stressed to try back tomorrow because she believed that today was supposed to be a "preview".

So at one point she says "Oh, contemporary is available at 149/night. That was for 10/28-11/4. $149/night in regular season? Huh? I didn't argue and I held it until I can see what happens tomorrow.

It sounds to me like they are trying to fill the less popular resorts before they start filling the more popular resorts."

So maybe there is hope for you!

I was fortunate enough to get the AP discounts for my AKL/Poly trip this Nov/Dec. I was a bit disappointed that the discounts seem to be MUCH less than the previous 3 years, but some discount is much better than none. I wonder if tomorrow's rumored room-only codes will offer better rates or the same (I'm guessing the same). I am going to miss the days of 45% off horribly! If AP rates start being done as a flat rate regularly, I will have to change from CR 14th floor for next year. Bummer! Oh well, on the bright side, I'm happy to have a discount.

Good afternoon. Looks like you all are doing well here in the lounge. First, I want to thank you all for your warm welcome. You all seem to be warm and caring people. That is something hard to find in our current world. I'm very grateful that I found all of you.

I am comfused Are you allowed multiple discounts? I made my reservation using the AAA discount, and then I received an e-mail with a pin number. I called AKL back and received an additional discount. Now, you all are talking about October discount codes. Is this something I can also use? I would love it, however I don't want to call and come across to a CM like a greedy person.

As you can tell I am new at all of this, but I sure am getting a good education with the Dis Boards.



I have put out some warm cookies and cold milk for a mid-day snack.

Both a TA and a CM told me that the room only rates will not be as good as the AP rates. I am just hoping that they will have cheaper rates for GVC rooms.

I may just end up booking a regular garden view room. DS would be sooo disappointed though. I have a LVC room booked for my last 2 nights (Oct 31 and Nov 1) but we don't want to have to switch rooms. I would book AKL, but everything we have planned is centered around MK and we have friends staying at the CR. I can get a Savanah view room at AKL for $727. That price looks awful goos, especially considering we are going back in Dec and staying at WL.

I am so confused.

Thanks a million #1hockeymom!! You're the best I did have it right I emailed them this a.m. to see about the SS during our stay. I haven't heard back but hopefully tomorrow. Hope they won't be "put off" by me since it is before the 90-day mark...never planned a trip this far in advance...the waiting is going to kill me; YET sustain me

Angel-only 1 discount per room. You got AAA first then changed to a better deal with email not an additional discount. You could try the new discount rumored to be out tomorrow but it might be any better than you already have.

Valerie-I can really relate to what your saying. My DS has been talking about the "hotel" lately (doesn't even know we're going back) and what he really means by "hotel" is the concierge lounge and he's only 3! I think he's spoiled!
