Floridafam--- I haven't had the test done but it something that I ask my OB for every year. For some reason she doen't think that it is needed for me though, ( I have done many IVF cycles so I would think that I am a canidate.) I do know some about it so if you'd like, just pm me.

I just recieved my Itinerary. Marilyn and Melissa were wonderful, we got everything we requested.

I do have to say that I am more than a little nervous about our upcoming stay at WL CL. I have stated before that I do like the casualness of the CL,but I am at a loss as to why they don't replace the offerings nor have listened to any of they other concerns of the prior guests? I hope this changes soon!!

I have to go make supper the kids bellies are talking to me!

DD just stopped over during her work break. Between DBF working on her and her brother and I non stop talking, I think we've talked her into AKL! It helped when I showed her the posts from everyone here, and I threw in the well-captioned picture of baby ankole for good measure!

Hooray I actually drove today. I only went to mys son's about a mile from here, but I feel great.

I am going to write to find out about doing a dessert party. I just won't tell my husband how much. I have been charging all of my remodeling on my Disney Visa so maybe that will help. My logic was, I have to buy the stuff anyway, may as well get something back for it. Of course my GM card gives me more, but I like using my Visa!!!!! Although when I look at my staement, what I have been charging and what my rewards dollars are is not much:

BTW, SSR spa also has its own heavenly aroma. I don't know exactly what it was, but it definitely relaxes you. I need to get a bottle of it to put on my desk - LOL! Don't we all?!

KerryCM - Yep, driving always makes you feel powerful after surgery even if its just to the mail box (my drive way is quite long). Keep up the good healing and don't too much too soon.

Welcome back again to VaGal and BambiTamby!!!!! Truth be told, you guys ARE adorable. I just loved looking at all the pics!!! Keep the stories coming!!!

VaGal.... Living in Chicago, we have many truly amazing spas here. No massage therapies for me until I'm out of my first trimester (soon!!) but I AM going for a "pumpkin pedicure" on Thurs. Yippee!!! Might have to try the "motherhood massage" at the Grand Flo in Sept.!!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREAMFLIGHT. You certainly know how to celebrate "right" so I'm sure your night out was just amazing!!!

Please keep my DS on the P and PD list.....he failed a hearing evaluation on Friday and will need to re-test again. This little guy's been through so much since the second he was born. I worry about him so! THANKS!!!

Vagal....to be honest, I agree about the AKL suite being nicer than the Tonga Princess Suite.
That suite deal sounds good! BTW....if you want to chance it, you can book a regular concierge room with AP rate and then upgrade to a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom suite with the AP rate applied to the rack rate!
And, sometimes, they'll just bump you up for a little bit more !

Kerry and annamonte and others...sorry, but I was told that this was a special party because of the G1 cancellation and there were other factors involved.
Mark kept telling me if I post these pics on the web, that I HAVE to tell everyone that this party is not available to book at the MK.
However, you can book one at Epcot for Illuminations.



On our last night at the BW...DH and I strolled the whole loop and noticed a family gathering with a steel drum band at the BC's beach, having a dinner/dessert party.
Reminded me of Janet's GF party.
Just reminded.....not even close to what Janet put together!

But, you can plan these parties with IPO and Grand Gatherings.

I'm new to this thread, but I also have been bitten by the concierge bug. This seems like a wonderful board, full of friendly people. I tend to lurk a lot first before posting, although I've been posting on these boards for several years.

I live in South Florida and visit my parents almost every month in Orlando. Of course, my DH and DD (6) and I are AP. We stay every year in Disney property once a year for my birthday (Sept) and for the past 2 years have stayed concierge. First time was AKL and last year was WL.

AKL totally blew us away and we can't wait to stay there again. WL was somewhat disappointing. And the room was much smaller than AKL with a terrible view. I had a garden view with a wall for a balcony. I am short, so when I sat down, all I saw was the wall. No balcony time for us cuz it was boring!

We will be making a last-minute visit this weekend but not concierge (WAH!), but at least we'll be inside at the Pop Century... better cheap than nothing!

For this year's concierge trip in Sept I was considering either Poly or CR... for you lounge lizards who know them, which one should I try? We are afraid of being disappointed because we don't think anyone can match the AKL lounge!

BT - The postcard doesn't say it isn't transferable. SInce it is moot on the issue they can't say it is without it being in writing (so says the law). SO, got any ideas.....

I need some PD and advice from you wonderful LL. I'm trying to get GF RPC or Sugarloaf. They are booked solidly. It is for the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.

We do have 2 LV rooms booked. The GF is completely sold out. We've done AKL CL and Poly CL and we wanted to try the GF.

I guess I'll keeping trying. Do you think some rooms may open up after APs are released?

As BT always says, keep calling, calling, calling!!!! You never know, something just might open up. People cancel all the time. We had a AAA rate room reserved for RPC for Dec. There are only two rooms in RPC discounted with that rate. Initially, I didn't get it, but I called everyday and something DID open up!! As it turns out, I am now pregnant and won't be able to fly in Dec. We cancelled our coveted reservation and it opened up for someone else!!! You just never know!!!!!

Someone else might know better, but I doubt if the release of AP rates would open rooms up.

Good luck pirateofthecarolinas!!! GF Sugarloaf is wonderful. We'll get to RPC some day!!!!
