Well HELLO LL. I've missed a lot in the short time I was gone. Work sure doesn't fit into my Disney schedule! Then I decided to wake up after only a few hours of sleep and take the kids to New York. Had a wonderful time, but they had a Parade today which interfered with my shopping-Gasp! The nerve.
Prayers, PD and Ny-Quil for all of you that need it. Thank goodness you guys can't share your bugs through the internet.

As for the YC CL rooms, I believe 5197 is a handicap/access room, and 5195 is a king. Or is it 5199?

BT and Debbie, bite your tongues, LOL! Nope, I'm not pregnant, just have crazy dreams. If we had a little one, I think it would have to sleep on the washing machine in our little apartment. I should've also mentioned that in my dream I was actually in line for the slide! I commented to my mom that I wouldn't ride the kiddie coaster because it would make me sick (which is true, I won't even ride the Barnstormer!).

nrsldy, how wonderful! That ceremony always brings tears to my eyes, so I'm sure it will be fantastic for your husband to participate.

Does anyone have the phone# of the BC concierge? I need to book something but would rather do it over the phone.
I also have another question-if I check in at the GF and they have a room in SugarLoaf available for my first night-would I have to pay rack rate or could I use my AP for a discount as I have with my other days? How does this work? The IPO at GF has e-mailed me and said they would try and put me in one room for my whole stay instead of switching rooms so I am hopeful this will happen. Has this ever happened to one of you? Sorry I am a little confusing with this but I have not had much sleep as I worked last night and then thought it was SO cool to take my kids to the Pokemon store in NY. Of course, while I was there I shopped a little with my DH for a 3 stone anniversary band-anniversary is on the 15th of this month. Disney and Diamonds-am I a lucky girl or what?

Summer Lizard meet - hhhmmmm - no one has mentioned a month yet?

Right now I'm looking at the last week of June or possibly the mid-July. I prefer not to go into July, but it will depend on MIL and SIL travel schedule. I hear it gets even hotter in July. Plus, I'm thinking there are even bigger crowds in July, which I try hard to avoid the mob scenes. I'm definitely crossing my fingers for June!

Do you lizards out there know what month you plan to go in summer 2005 yet? Let's see who is going when.

Cajunfan - Thank goodness for that strong coffee....I think my eyes look like half moons today. I went away for the weekend and just didn't plan on not getting sleep. We had met up with some family we hadn't seen in a LONG time and ended up chatting the evenings away. When the alarm went off this morning, I thought I was still dreaming. I agree there are several on the boards that prayers and PD.

BT - Just goes to show that you can never get used to celebrity status - LOL!

Are you guys getting your bags ready to go, yet? Did you leave room for a few extra hitch-hikers here in the lounge? We can even collapse and fold down into fourths - LOL!

Debbie - I figured you would at least give AKL a ring to see what they have. Hey, you'll stay there on the next trip! It's cool to try out different resorts. Have no fear, you are still a lizard at heart. I'm still jealous that you get to go. I'm stuck here at home....planning our trip NEXT year, going through our photos, etc. just to be taken back. I still remember what AKL and SSR spa smells like. I can taste the sweetness of the Cinderella slipper and dirt pots that we had at the Father's Day Dessert Party. Mmmmm, I'm savoring the taste of the white wine that I had at Jiko's which was served with our meal for Wanyama Safari. I remember the feeling of complete relaxation while watching my DS and DH taking their afternoon nap. In fact, I try to hang on to that feeling with all my might! So while I'm here at home doing my day to day daydreaming and working, you get to another chance to make new memories at a new place and still visit old hangouts. See how jealous we all are of you??!!

Yep, I'd say I'm ready for another trip.

What's your latest thought on the extra day situation? Can you try to arrange for a good room upon arrival (even though it may not be ready), drop off luggage, head for disneyquest?

I slept on it and decided that I'm going to go with the extra night at concierge. If the weather is good then my kids are definitely going to want to swim in SAB and I had planned on Friday as being a resort day. I know there are places to change, but it's just not the same as having your own room. We only have 3 full days, so I want to get down there, get settled and relax as soon as possible. Why add on the stress of checking in and checking out of one hotel, then checking into another one just 10 hours later. I'm a little concerned about getting a "leftover" room, but I think it's worth it to take our chances.

Angie's been terrific. She's already taken care of purchasing some gifts for me to put under the tree. She also mentioned that if I bought anything on my own, to send it down to her and they'd put all the presents together. These IPO ladies have been outstanding to work with. I just ordered a little chocolate goodie basket and sent it down to them. It's been such a pleasure planning my vacation with them.

Off to pick up my son from soccer practice. I'll stop by when the bottles of wine come out and grab a little nosh.

Awwww, shucks! I would love to go in May, but I don't know if it's going to happen. The more I look at it, the more it looks like it's going to be June before I can go with the family. I wonder if I can go just by myself for a long weekend... ?Something tells me DH is not going to let me go alone.

Hey VAgal tell your DH that you and I will chaperone each other! As hard as he's trying to be a 21st century kind of guy, my DH is not taking the solo aspect of the trip well. I think he's more concerned about fending for himself for 3 days than about me reverting to the wild child I was pre-marriage!

DH and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on Friday - also we were away this weekend for my youngest brother's nuptials A very happy occasion and a wonderful weekend

My DH and I are going on both safaris this November. How much do you usually tip the guides and restaurant servers?

I'm assuming at Tusker House and Jiko you would tip 15-20%, but not quite sure how much to tip the tour guides.

It has begun to get cold enough her to pack away some of the summer things. I am just putting them in my suitcase. I am an advance packer and Jim is a 2 hour before the trip packer!!!!
I'll say to Madyson, "We are going to see Snow White soon" and she gets all excited. She loves Snow White. I got her the dress from The Disney Store and she will wear it to our breakfast in Norway next Friday morning!!!!

Just got another email from Don, (giddy again!!)...he got my attention yesterday and turned my thoughts to Disney. *Poof!* there went another $50 or so, as I decided to include Meredith, after all, in the Sunrise Safari...I was going to leave her behind with Daddy, but decided I was cheating her and she'd want to be there. So there we are.

AGH! Caroline's trying to read over my shoulder, little witch! I have another 54 days or so of trying to keep the AKL portion of the trip a secret!!

We are capping off our trip with two days at AKL Concierge to rest up from 5 days at the parks. This will be our first time in concierge. Does anyone know where I can find a schedule of what snacks are out when?

What type of beers and wines if any are offered?
