Well my name is Adios in real life so it's always worked for me.

(No but my last visit was just a week before they announced it - even though the LED displays had been there for about a year)

We were there last week - it didn't work for us on It's a Small World, but multiple times on HM. Hitchhiking ghosts had signs with our home state on it, and another time they were holding tombstones with each of our names!

Are you using a magic band with your name on the bottom or a character/un personalized one? I've heard some of those don't work. Or is your MB over a year old? Maybe the battery for the long range rfid has died.

That could be the case for me (I have a the Valentine band) but my Mom was next to me with her brand new, one and only MB with her name and it didn't work on any of them either.

Also, in Small World we were in a boat full of folks and none of the signs changed. So it wasn't just our bands that time

No, it reads the MDE account name for the person who is wearing the band

The name on the underside of a mb wouldn't matter. It's the name you have in your MDE account. They couldn't do what's put on the underside of the magic band because a lot of people don't use their real names and put other items. And a MB being over a year old wouldn't matter. The long range will last around 3 years

Worked for us on Small World on 4/19 and 4/21 (no FP either time) and HM for me on 4/21. We had no idea, so it was very cool to see all our names up there on Small World the first time!

HM was working yesterday (4/29). The eyes in ToT ( when you're going through the ghost hallway in the car, look at the eye opening, they now use the pictures taken in that flash of light when you're on the first floor in the car) were working as well, when they weren't last week.

It worked for us on IASW and HM (home state sign) on 4/25. On 4/26 it seemed to be working for others around us on HM, but we had the tombstones that time and they were blank.

If a group of 11 is on the trip and only 6 of the group is on the ride how can the band's differentiate who is on the ride? Will it always say my name since I'm the lead guest?

The IASW goodbye board worked for me on the evening of 4/18. I also had a personalized rock show poster with my name and hometown listed while I was walking into Rock N Roller Coaster during that same day.
