On Sat May 22, we brought in a sitter from Kids Nite Out (Nadia - she was awesome - very very professional and well versed in child care issues - amazing!)

DW and I went for a swim at SAB (we were staying at BCV), came back to the room had some dinner with the kids and then headed out to do some shopping at Orlando Premium Outlets

After that we went to the MK - crowds were moderate in size - it was a double spectro with wishes in between night

We skipped the first parade and stayed in Adventureland riding Jungle Cruise, POTC, climbing the Swiss Robinson Tree (DW had never done that before - it is neat at night) and magic carpets of Alladin

After the first parade we crossed into Frontierland and joined the queue for BTMRR - the queue was about 15-20 minutes long but I was glad we had queued up...

Just as our BTMRR ride started, Wishes started as well - we have never seen Wishes (or the previous FITS) from BTMRR - it lent a great extra to the wild west train ride - it was so beautiful and amazing - a magic disney moment for us

This was the first trip where we had a chance to go adults only into the parks at night (prior that week we did an EMH night at MGM - we had KNO that night as well)

The BTMRR ride finished and we walked towards the right side of BMTRR where the geysers are and watched the rest of Wishes from there - it is a great viewing area - lots of fun and it was nice to watch from there - the weather was about 78 degrees and no humidity - perfect night

After Wishes was over we went over to Splash Mountain - I found out in the queue that DW had not gone on it before - this was a surprise since I assumed she had during one of our prior trips. I told here she would love riding it at night ;)

We proceeded through the queue - about 15-20 minutes again and were seated in the 2nd row. She loved the story line but was too funny:

Oh sure, all these cute characters and songs just to set you up to scare the wits out of you. She kept asking if this was the big drop coming up and then would answer "no, you're not going to tell me and spoil it are you...."

She thought the ride was very very well done - I told her to watch the story line for clues as to when the final drop would come and I did tell her during the final climb, this was the big drop

I was laughing through the ride like I have not since my first time on it - it is always fun to go on a ride with someone for the first time when you are the veteran

DW had a great time that night and I did as well - BTMRR, Splash Mountain and then the 2nd Spectro made for a Disney evening to remember

Thanks

Nice, thanks for sharing. Sounds like a blast. I can't wait til our anniversary trip next February - no kids! I'm gonna ride Space Mountain, over and over and over....

I missed Splash Mountain when I last visited WDW. I thought it was just a fancy log flume ride or something - I had no idea Brer Rabbit and co. were involved, or that it had a story to tell! Next time I head "home" to WDW I'm definitely checking SM out!

BTW, has anyone else here gone to SaveDisney.com and signed the petition to get "Song of the South" released on video? :)
