Have to rent my points

Due to the fact that I am currently pregnant and will not be able to fly for a while my husband and I have points that expire that we would like to rent. Before I post them on the board I was wondering what are some steps I need to take to make sure this goes smoothly?

Go to the rent/trade board and read the FAQ thread at the top carefully. It will give you all of the basic information. Then if you have any specific questions, come back here and ask them.

Also read the posting guidelines carefully, because they have certain formats your ads must meet. You might also read through some of the posts and look at the responses to get a feel for what works and what doesn't.

If you mean making the rent transaction itself go smoothly, then I think most would agree that a written agreement is a really good idea to let both parties know what their responsibilities are and to set up a payment schedule.

Talk to the people personally seems like it is easier. Everything can be cleared up without the e-mailing back and forth and you get a feel for were they are coming from. I am sure they also feel better talking to an actual person also.
