Ok, I need help with this one... we have long planned this trip to Orlando and the kids are excited, we have a great place to stay and park tickets purchased. We now need to decide...
1) do we proceed as scheduled in spite of Ivan or
2) do we change the plan drastically in order to be certain to avoid Ivan?
We want to
1) be safe (of course. We're bringing the kids, after all)
2) enjoy our vacation
3) not be a burden on Florida's resources that are already strained.
That said, we also want to go to Orlando and enjoy US and IOA next week. I know that no one can accurately predict when/where/how hard this storm will hit, but given the most likely worst-case scenarios, should we let it change our plans? In other words, how likely is it that it will hit Orlando hard enough to make us regret being there?
Does anyone have a cystal ball or even just some good ole advice?
Thanks !!
