I have the one most recently sent out...of course it still uses old footage, and I do NOT understand why they have continued the "what are you celebrating" theme (but a thread on the Theme Park boards says they are still asking that on the phone, so I guess it continues), but it has things like the GAD program, and newish things like Kimpossible...

My DD13 watched the 2010 DVD the other day and was a bit disappointed because she said "it's pretty much the same as last year" meaning 2009.

My DD13 watched the 2010 DVD the other day and was a bit disappointed because she said "it's pretty much the same as last year" meaning 2009.

And the 2009 DVD was pretty much the same as the one from 2008. I say give less cartoon graphics (balloons/clouds) and interviews with people in the parks and give us what used to be a quality planning video showing what is actually in the parks like the restaurants and rides, etc.

It seems that over the last few years, the only revision is maybe new people being interviewed. Overall, I find them a disappointment.

Bummer. I was going to order the '10 planning DVD, but if it hasn't changed much, guess I won't. Doesn't Disney know how much we look forward to the new one every year? Does anyone have a favorite Planning Video from the past that they still watch over and over? My wife and I love the '94 and '95 vids that our neice gave to us when we made our first trip in '96, they are VHS so the quality has really deteriorated, but there is nothing like reliving our first trip to WDW every so often.

the planning video is one of my favorite trip memories EVER.

when we went in 2003 we ordered the video and kept our trip a secret until the night we left! Our daughters were 9 and 3 then. We took the video to my parents house (they didnt want to miss the reveal!) and popped it in. After we watched it my DH goes "WOW! that looks like soooo much fun! We should go to Disney World!" I asked LOUDLY "when should we go??? he responded "how about RIGHT NOW??????" our kids totally freaked out! We had the car all loaded and ready to go and after giving kisses to Nana and Papa we hit the road. It was an AMAZING trip reveal! and now I order the dvd every time we plan a trip!
