Have they changed the snacks with DDP?

I was looking at pricing online for 2009 and the description for the snacks were:

One snack includes one of the following: frozen ice cream novelty, popsicle, fruit bar, popcorn scoop (single serving box), single serving grab bag of chips, single piece of whole fruit, 20-oz. bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dasani water, medium fountain soft drink or juice, 12-oz. coffee, hot chocolate or hot tea.

We used to love going into all the places in WS and Main street and getting the yummy baked goods using snack credits. Anybody know?

As long as they're single servings you could in 2008. Nobody knows yet what will happen in 2009.

That's the same kind of wording that was on the 2008 brochure. This year, those were just suggestions to give you an idea of what was a "snack". There were many, many additional items that counted.

We had a couple of lovely items from the Main Street Bakery (we had them as breakfast, but they counted as snacks)...the giant cinnamon roll and the giant apple turnover. Those were so big neither me nor my husband could eat more than 1/2 for breakfast. We had the other half for a snack later.

However, someone reported on another thread that last week, while buying a cinnamon roll with a snack credit, that the cast member serving told them that as of 9/26/2008 the cinnamon rolls would be off the DDP as well as other changes. Haven't heard from anyone else since, so...

Hope this didn't happen, was wonderful to get those goodies for a snack...but I guess I understand that food costs have gone up dramatically so some changes have to be made. I just wish they'd just downsize them to regular bakery-size and still allow them as snacks.

This post pertained only to the honkin big cinnamon rolls at the Main Street Bakery, not cinnamon rolls throughout WDW, and there isn't confirmation yet.

You need extra fingers and toes to count the number of times a CM told somebody something that turned out not to be true, so maybe this isn't either.

Oh yeah, I know it has not been confirmed. And I hope it's not so!

It's funny you comment on this, ...I was just telling my DH about all the posts before the first MNSSHP that claimed a CM had "told somebody" that they were giving out "full size candy bars" this year and the Disney Halloween parties...DH laughed & laughed: said that's the ultimate dream-Halloween story, still going on among adults. He said, remember when we were kids at school (40 years ago:scared1: ) all the kids were always exhanging strategies for best Halloween trick or treating, and there was always somebody who "knew for sure" which house always gave out the full-size candy bars. Course it wasn't true then, and it isn't true at Disney either.

That's the same kind of wording that was on the 2008 brochure.
And the 2007 brochure, and the 2006 brochure, and the 2005 brochure. Only in 2005 were the snack options restricted to the items listed in the brochure (and some Food & Wine Festival items). Beginning in 2006, the options were greatly expanded... and in 2008, reduced to single-serve snacks. But to list EVERY possible snack option would require a great deal of time, and additional paper - and every time a change was made, the entire brochure would have to be reprinted...

I just looked at the brochure and it says this:

Some examples of eligible Snack options include:
Frozen Ice-Cream Novelty, Popsicle or Fruit Bar
Popcorn Scoop
(single-serving box)
Single Piece of
Whole Fruit
Single-serving Bag
of Snacks
20 oz. Bottle of Coke®, Diet Coke®, Sprite® or 20 oz. Dasani® Water
Medium Fountain
Soft Drink
12 oz. Coffee, Hot Chocolate, or Hot Tea
Single-serving Prepackaged Milk or Juice

Well I am going to stay on top of this because if that is the case I will cancel it ::yes::! We won't be saving enough to be limited in such a fashion, as it is now it's almost a chore to make sure you break even or thereabouts.
