Have the rules changed about parades?

I read somewhere that you can no longer park ecv's at the edge of the curb to watch parades. Is that true? I heard you have to go to a special wheelchair spot and that there are not a lot of spots for the ecv's so that you have to line up very early.

I have not heard that, but in the past you could park where you wanted!

I have not heard that; to my knowledge ECVs or wheelchairs may pull up to any open spot of curbing. If you wait too long, that may be hard to do and you are stuck behind others, who might decide to stand once the parade begins. There are reserved sections that can be used by those on ECVs or wheelchairs, but it's not required to use such areas. If you do wish to use the reserved sections, it's possible that only one guest may be allowed to accompany the person with the ECV/wheelchair; the rest of the party will need to watch from another location anyway. My family actually prefers to scout out our own spot; we probably do so just as early but we use that as a break time for a snack and people-watching.

I have found that the HC viewing areas do fill up quite quickly due to their comparably small size. When we want to use it for MSEP we generally get there an hour early. Lately, though, we just find a good spot closer to the end of Frontierland, opposite Pecos Bills. That area doesn't seem to fill up as early. Never had a problem finding a curb spot for my chair. But like anyone else, I wouldn't expect to find anything if I arrived late.
