Have the menus changed because of free dining?

So far we have only Tony's confirmed that there is actually a menu change....
Anywhere else???

just came from Disney and Raglan Road changed their menu this week for people with ddp. Different and smaller menu,Vero.

Hi!! Could you explain a little more, please. Do you mean they changed their menu totally, or do you mean that if you say you're using the dining plan you are given a different menu with more limited choices?

I for one will be very upset if they start to give different menus if you're on the dining plan. We opt to use a club level room discount & pay for deluxe dining. We like to relax in the evenings at dinner & enjoy appitizers & dessert. And if they start limiting your selections on the dining plans, they need to start advertising it that way. I know menus are always subject to change, but that shouldn't really mean a "special" menu for people on the dining plan. Again, unless you're told before you purchase the plan.

I read it as the value blows away the value of anything Disney offers. In other words, the food is good particularly for the price.

My interest is piqued by this post. I've never been to a Sweet Tomatoes.

Me too....exactly. Sounds like something I would want to checkout. After a week of eating Disney food......WAY more salt than we use.....WAY less healthy balance than we are used to....the thought of a good salad and soup sounds perfect.



We always have a rental car and we are planning to dine off property much more next time.

I'm sorry but dumbed down is too much of an understatement. It was stupided down. (I know that no such word exists, but...)

I paid for the dining plan in June and got it free last week.

I didn't see a difference. Both times the resturants were crowded and food same.

These changes have been happening for years ..... The quality and choices were much better years ago. There isn't really too much more they can dumb down. I was told by a Chef at Epcot to look for more chicken and the same generic desert at All restaurants in the near future !

Can anyone report more on the alleged changes to the Raglan Road menu? We're heading to DW in 7 days & are scheduled for RR.

These changes have been happening for years ..... The quality and choices were much better years ago. There isn't really too much more they can dumb down. I was told by a Chef at Epcot to look for more chicken and the same generic desert at All restaurants in the near future !

This will work for a time, maybe. Then people will rebel and they'll have to kick it up once again . . . maybe when the economy is better.

I've been thinking that our upcoming vacation will be a great test. Hubby hasn't been to WDW since early 90's, and when we went, it was on the Grand Plan. We had truly outstanding meals.

So far, I haven't said a word to him about how the restaurants have changed, except a couple months back I did tell him that it seems as though the menus are all becoming a variation on a theme.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see his take on the food. Time will tell.
