Have guides been named for Greece?

DH and I are looking at Greece and are wondering if there is any way to know who the guides might be for the Adventure.:confused3

The only way is if one of the Guides unofficially mentions it on a prior trip. (Like when I took the Med cruise ABD add-on, Tina & Robyn told me they were doing all of the add-ons for the summer except for one or two. Or a guide might say "I'm heading to Costa Rica in a month to do those trips.")

ABD themselves will not say who will be the Guides on which trips. I'm pretty sure it's to keep complaints down if they have to shuffle the schedule around and someone would end up not getting the Guide(s) they'd been told they were getting. "We booked this date because you told us John was going to be the Guide! I want you to move our dates! I want a refund!" Etc, etc. I don't know that for a fact, but that's my guess.

About a month before the trip, you can call and ask. I have been hoping we bump into one of our previous guides but they have been different ones each time. :)

Thanks to both for the prompt reply. Absolutely understand the problems it could/would cause if people booked trips based on expectations about the guides. My expectation is that they are all hired by Disney and will all be wonderful.

I called ABD today to checking on booking for the date we would choose. Hope to book Greece adults only at the end of the season.

On my trip in May, I was speaking to the guides and was told ABD might be telling you who the Guides were going to be prior to your trip, now how far in advance you would get the notice they didn't know. This was being done or at least contemplated because there were people who complained that the guides in the brochure, the pre trip booklet you get in the package that is sent 45 days in advance, were not the guides on the trip, in fact there was one person who was so upset she was yelling at the guides that her trip was ruined because they had male guides and not the female guides in the picture.

Now whether this will actually occur remains to be seen but one of the guides on my trip was the guide that was yelled at for not being the guide in the book.

OMG, how bizarre is that? Assuming that the Guides in a pre-printed booklet were the Guides you were getting? Now I've heard everything! Did they think the people in the pictures with the Guides were going to be their fellow travelers??? I'm sorry, but that's just plain weird. (Now I've heard everything!) I can't believe yelling at the poor Guides, either. If having female Guides was so important to her, she should have made that clear to ABD... :sad2:

We've had six adventure guides so far and they have all been fantastic. Have a wonderful time in Greece!

My experience (8 Adventure Guides, 1 Adventure Guide in training) is that your expectations are correct. They are all wonderful!

I'm definitely looking at the Greece trip for next year. I'll be looking forward to hearing what you have to say about it!

I'm sick that someone could be so nasty and hurtful. I see it more and more in daily life, but somehow expect better of "Disney People".

Just wondering...what's wrong with a male guide? We just loved ours, and somehow it seems nice to have one of each.

Our male guide in CR, Fico, dressed up playing pretty pretty princess with our girls, so does that count?:rotfl2:

I have no Idea, I have been on three trips the first was 2 female guides. the second was 2 male guides and 1 female in training and the last was 2 male guides, I will tell you they were all awesome, the best people and very accomadating.

I have no idea, either. I've had 2 trips with one of each, one trip with 2 males & one trip with 2 females. They all were wonderful.

It just sounds like that person was disturbed... like for real.
