I made a reservation today for a travel package including disney dining. I have my conf # and am ready to make my ressies. But it's asking for a credit card... How can I tell it that I'll use the dining plan??
Help!??

You must provide a credit card number to guarantee all WDW restaurant reservations, whether you are on the dining plan or not.

The only way the dining plan makes a difference is if you are trying to reserve a meal that is usually prepaid in full at the time of booking (CRT or one of the three dinner shows). But you still have to put down a credit card for a guarantee, you just don't have to pay the entire amount when you book.

This does not apply when you are booking a prepaid event that does not accept the dining plan, such as the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party. This type of event will always require full prepayment at booking.

Here is the sticky thread regarding credit card guarantees and cancellation policies:

How about Hoop-Dee-Doo? When I go to that page it tells me a price per person - do i have to pay for that in full?? How does that work with removing the charge so that I can use the 2TS credits?

Thanks for your quick reply -- I'm on the ressies page now ;)

If you are on the dining plan you should not have to pay in full for Hoop de Doo at booking, as it is classified as a dinner show.

I don't use the dining plan, so I can't tell you how to designate it or whether it is supposed to recognize the plan automatically. If it is charging you the full amount (check before you click on a final submission) then something is wrong and you might try calling WDW to make that reservation. The online system is buggy and doesn't always work the way it is supposed to.
