the Fried Oreos at Universal Studios? :scared1: We got them first during Horror Nights and then twice over our New Years trip. DANGEROUS!

By the time I remembered to take a picture, all that was left was some powdered sugar, batter flakes, and the memories.

With the cold weather, the combo Oreos and Universal's hot chocolate were the perfect way to give up another click on the coaster restraints.

:lmao:I will try them in April and I'll try to take a picture before we eat them!!
Thanks for the recommendation :thumbsup2

I think fried oreos must be a Pittsburgh thing. We've had those for years at Kennywood.

That's why my kids want me to buy a deep frier so we can have fried oreos and fried pickles. yummm:goodvibes

I've heard of them but never tried them...another item on the list for next trip.:thumbsup2

They're at this new stand they built across the street from the new music plaza in the Studios that sells funnel cakes and fried oreos. The stand is green and white. Right now during Mardi Gras, I'm sure the other temporary food stands popped up around it as well.

i get them all the time at the jersey shore - i will have to look for them this year when im there for HHN

Not necessarily. We have a large flea market around here that has a stand that does fried Oreos, fried Snickers, fried Twinkies, and fried pickles. There is also a chicken wing place and BBQ place here locally that both do fried pickles.

Here in the UK we have only just started being able to buy Oreos - deep fried oreos is something that we'd probably NEVER see here. And I'm not brave enough to try making my own ;)

Roll on August, I'll be having some of those babies :thumbsup2

The HORROR! :scared1:

Fried Oreos are amazing. Tried them for the first time during HHN and believe me... it's something you'll be glad to not have nearby just any day of the week... those suckers are so delicious and addictive! :worship:

<---Has never had a fried oreo, fried snickers, fried twinkie, etc

Not at the county fair, nor HHN, nor Universal. But the funnel cakes sold in Port of Entry are yummy. Get them fully loaded and it's OM NOM NOM NOM.

Now those I have had :thumbsup2

Fried Oreos holy crap!!! What do they have about 1000 calories each? Sounds really good though.

you're probably right...I remember a show on the travel channel that I think it was Texas has all of these festivals to try to come up with the most outrageous things to deep fry--everything looked yummy--definitely not gluten free:sad2:

not in a box, not on a train, I have not tried them on a plane or in the rain, or in a house, or with a mouse....I am sad so you see...I will try them at Universal definitely

I'll have to try them...I had them at SFNE once and some were raw (which won't happen at Universal as they're not the same thing as Six Flags). I did have the deep fried Twinkie in Vegas-I think my BFF is still terrified. :rotfl:

Yum yum, fried oreos bring back tasty Halloween Horror Nights memories (Smirnoff Ice does too but I keep a couple of those in the fridge all year 'round). I think you can get fried Snickers at the fish and chips counter at Downtown Disney.
