ok - so I've never carved a real pumpkin much less a fake one - what do you use on them? Sane tools a real one? guess I need to google for directions....really like the idea...

I use a pumking motorized saw, an exacto knife, and a demel for the shading areas.

Great DISign. I added that one to my 4 share. With all these great minds we are going to end up with a huge library of options for everyone's pumpkins.

My son was Peter Pan for his birthday and will also be Peter Pan for Halloween and I would LOOOOVE to make a pumpkin to remember it. I looked in your zip file and didn't see it. WDW enabler: Where do you get those pumpkins at? Are those the same ones you can get at Wal-Mart although the ones there have a design already on them? I'm just trying to figure out where to get one that doesn't have any designs and are hollow inside. These are such an awesome idea! I would have never thought of this in a million years. I am so going to do this next year for our first MNSSHP. My spending to prepare for WDW gets more out of control every year. My husband is going to kill me!

Michael's has the pumpkins that WDW Enabler and Millipie used on sale this week for 40% off. They are craft pumpkins that are hollow inside, look just like pumpkins and are carvable. The main difference from real pumpkins is that you can't put a candle inside...you have to use a pumpkin light that you can get at most craft stores or Walmart.
