Have an important Q for the VMKers!

Hello,
My daughter is an avid vmk player. She is 13 and we are going to Disney in 2 days. Now that VMK central is closed and no in park quests that I know of where are the BEST places for her to shop for the pins and cards?? Or any VMK items. I really wanted her to have fun shopping for VMk items. She has been looking forward to this trip for quite a while and did not know VMK central would be closed. Beth spent 6 months in the hospital last year and I want her to do what she wants to do while she is there. I know it will be shopping for VMK stuff so if anyone can make suggestions we would appreciate them very much.

The pin shop at DTD Marketplace has a great selection of pins. There is a shop on Main Street on the right (when walking towards the castle) where they sell pins and they have the VMK pin/card packs. At MGM underneath the big hat is a pin shop and they sell the VMK stuff. That is all I found when I was there 2 weeks ago.

At DL they set up computer kiosks to create characters for VMK. I looked and looked at WDW and did not find any. So, keep your eyes open for them, if they are at DL then I assume they will be coming to WDW.

sometimes the candy shop give a penny press with any purchase (ask before buying) and same with the magic shop. and the pins.. well they sell a 2 pin surprise set that you get 2 pins on cards with piratre q items. bird hat, fire wall prolly the most popular 2 of the 10 possiable. they run about 14.99 for the 2 but considering you get pins (tradable if you get duplicates with cast members) and codes, i know when I go in december that will be on my list of purchases. if you go to the home page of vmk under promotions some times there are additional stops. idk but you might still be able to get the wall from riding the subs. when i took my daughter and it was her birthday they gave her extra. i hope that this is helpful

Actually, WDW used to have VMK computers, but they were recently removed when they shut down VMK Central. The ones at Disneyland were always separate from the VMK Central kiosk, so even though that is gone, there are still computers inside Innoventions.

I assume this is at WDW? Disneyland has moved the red penny presses to the 20th Century Music Shop on Main Street, and the Magic Shop may not have Magic Mirror cards anymore.

Here's a hint: Rather than buying something you don't really want in order to get a "gift with purchase" card, buy a $5.00 Disney gift card instead, then use it for food or other purchases in the park. Or, just ask nicely if they have the VMK cards; sometimes they will simply hand them to you.

IPurchased my vmk card pack in August at the trading post in Frontierland (MK- Disney World). They gave me a free penny press card there too.

They are going to WDW, so she is wanting to know what is available in WDW. DL has the computer kiosks and since they do I am assuming WDW will be doing the same soon (since they closed VMK Central).

So, keep a lookout for those computer kiosks, they could put them anywhere.

As far as Innoventions having the computers - I hope you are referring to DL - because I know for a fact they are not in Innoventions at EPCOT. I looked and looked because I thought that would be a place they might put them.

BTW - I remembered the pin shop in Frontierland used to give out VMK cards with a purchase. However, the last time I got something from there was 1-07. I am not sure if they are still doing this but it never hurts to ask.

Ah, I just thought it unlikely that they would put the computers back at WDW, since they would have to find a place for them in a new building. (As opposed to them staying in the same building at Disneyland.) Hopefully I'm wrong, and WDW will get them back.
