Have an extra day...what to do?

We will have an extra day to spend in orlando and I have a few questions...

1. If we decide to add an extra day to our 3 day P2P tickets, how do we do that? When do we have to decide?

2. We planned on spending a day at Disney but 1 day tickets are ridiculous so what else can we do that would be fun for parents and DD13 and DD14?

3. Can we break up our 3day tix or do we have to use them consecutively?

Gonna just answer the 2nd question...if it were me, I'd try something else in Orlando...
If you like water parks, Aquatica is always running really great ticket sales and is an awesome water park
If you like mental challenges, the multitudes of escape rooms that have popped up in the area could be really fun - usually one shows up on the coupon sites every few months or so
If you like to try something different, the Titanic exhibit, the CSI exhibit, or the new I-360 complex (Orlando Eye, Madame Tussaud's, Sealife, Skeletons) are a lot of cool options depending what will give you the best deal and what interests you all the most
If you like something more "vacationy", there are tons of mini golf courses with cheap coupon deals everywhere

And you could always do a pool day and see Blue Man Group (which will cost much less than 1 day MK tickets, especially if you go when they are running deals)...

1. I have not done it before. However, from what I've read, you can do it at guest services and need to do it before you use up your days. From what I've seen on here, it's better to do it inside the park than out.
3. You can break it up. It should say on the tickets how long you have to use them - like within 14 days from using the first day.
2. I'd suggest the hotel pool, Blue Man Group, and/or Disney Springs. That will cost a lot less than a lot of other options. We did 6 days in the parks at US/IOA on our last trip and my 12 year old, who loves the parks, said his favorite thing was Blue Man Group. (You could also consider La Nouba - I don't know what that cost is like these days. When we saw the show more than decade ago, it was amazing). Also keep in mind that Universal allows pool hopping, so if you're staying on-site, you'll have more options for pools.

Yes, we are on site so pools might be a good option. We have seen blue man here in hometown but La Nouba might be cool.

Both mini golf courses at Citywalk are excellent, loads of fun.

The Orlando Eye was very impressive, we really enjoyed that. Didn't do the other things there as they didn't interest us, but the 360 complex is a nice idea.......The Sugar Factory has opened up there now too......sorry we missed that.......your teens may like it in there.

And guest service will be able to upgrade your ticket.....

Since you're staying onsite, you might want to check out the annual pass holder rates for rooms. Use the APH code online. Going from 3 day tickets to a power pass is a small upgrade if your vacation doesn't fall on a blackout period. The price to upgrade is the difference between the gate price of what you're turning in and the gate price of what you're buying.

The prices for multiday tickets online are $20 cheaper than gate prices. 1 day tickets and annual passes are the same at the gate and online.

We have one AP and three regular tickets because we booked our room with the AP discount. I think we will head over to disney Springs for a day and some swimming added in.

I'd recommend mini golf at city walk. If you go on universal website you can pay $23.99 for golf and dine deal. Gets you 18 holes of golf on one of the 2 courses and a meal in citywalk. Margaritaville is best imo - you get a main meal of a special menu, drink tax and tip.

Cabana bay is worth a stop. If you are onsite and can pool hop lazy river is fun. There is also bowling there, midweek in the afternoon it was only $9 each.
