Have *All* the rooms in the CR Tower been Refurbished ?

Hello everyone, a *newbie* here....

I can't seem to get a straight answer to the title question, so I thought
I'd ask the experts...(you guys)

At the last minute, we have decided to splurge on a MK view room at the
CR for the 4th of July through the 7th, with plans of watching the fireworks
on the 4th from our balcony. (woo hoo ! )

But, we of course would like one of the new rooms and our not sure if all of them have been updated as of yet.

Ideally, we'd like a room as high up as possible, but we are not sure if this is just 'luck of the draw' when you arrive or not. Is there a way to request such a thing in advance ?

I don't have to tell you all that this is going to be a sizable investment 'money wise' for just the room, and we'd like to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Thoughts ? Ideas ?

While there are still renovations going on in the CR itself, all the rooms in the tower and the wing have been finished. If you want a higher room, you should request it, but know that you are not guaranteed to get the room you want.

Just as chasgoose said all the rooms in the Tower and South Garden Wing have been 100% renovated, so you will be getting a brand new room when you stay there.

Here is a schedule of other renovations that the Contemporary is going threw or will soon begin, however for the days you will be there it's going to be very minor renovations.

August 2007 - Newly renovated Fantasia Shop will re-open.

June 11, 2007 through November 2007 - The Lobby will undergo partitioned refurbishments to update the area's image and decor.

July 2007 through October 2007 - The resort's grounds will undergo partitioned refurbishments to install new landscaping and re-route existing guests paths.

July 30, 2007 through April 2008 - The Food & Fun Center will be closed for major renovations. The location will re-open as a new table service option, "The Wave". During this time a temporary counter service location will be operating on the Grand Concourse level near the Outer Rim Lounge.

April 2008 through August 14, 2008 -The Concourse Steak house will be closed for major renovations. The location will re-open as the new Counter Service location for the resort. During this time a temporary counter service location will be operating on the Grand Concourse level near the Outer Rim Lounge.

All the rooms have been renovated but the suites only received a soft rehab - bathroom fixtures, etc are still the same as they were before but they have new TVs, new decor, and new bedding, etc.

sorry but they changed the bathroom greatly!!!

this has been the main complaint. lots of people do not like the new sinks - they are the new type.

The bathrooms in the *suites* did NOT get the new sinks and definitely are not new given the condition of the brass finish. I will post photos when I get the time.

I know all the rooms did; I was only talking about the suites since I didn't want anyone to be upset if they booked a suite and saw that the bathrooms weren't updated.

I shall light a candle for the terminated pool hoppers.

I think we will begin to fax our room requests to the 'front desk' about a week
before our arrival. (Worded in a friendly but firm tone) Perhaps it will help,
perhaps not.... But, it couldn't hurt.
