can any one tell me what to expect in september this is the first time we have gone this time of year . what will the temp be like ? does it rain alot what time to the parks close and downtown close? thnaks for the help

We went in Sept. of 2004. There were no lines and we walked onto every ride. We had a few 5 minute waits on some rides in the middle of the day but the parks were pretty empty.

The weather was HOT. We had a day were we had to leave MGM because of the heat. There was really no rain at all, except for one day where it POURED for about 1 hour.

I really like September at WDW. We are going Oct. 17 through the 27th this year and hope to have a similar expirience.

We go in Sept. every year. I can tell you the following about Sept.

*It is hot!!! 90 degrees and up everyday :sunny: .
*Rain - not much. Sometimes there's a shower in the afternoon, but it's not a big rainout :umbrella: .
*Hurricanes - they definitly come in Sept. We have had to flee 2 hurricanes in the last 4 vacations - last year being one of them. Obviously we don't worry about them because we continue to go in Sept. Just stay opened mined that you may have to leave if a hurricane comes.
*Hours - The parks are not open as late in the summer, but that is okay - it gets you to bed earlier ;)
*Crowds - very little in Sept. You will be able to go on every ride more than once if you want to. Now that I have gone in Sept I could never go in the summer with all the crowds. You will have to use the Fast Pass very little - only on the newer rides like Soarin.

I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy Sept. When are you going? We will be there Sept 18 - Sept 24.

Went last year 18-2th. We had 30 minutes of rain the whole trip. It was HOT!!! The parks were not crowded either walked on or waited 10-15 minutes. It was wonderful!!!

I, personally, love going in September. Yes...it is very very hot. But, whenever it gets unbearable, you can hop into one of the very very cool air conditioned stores (a good excuse to buy something) :rotfl: When we were there in September of '03 it only rained 1X for about 20 minutes. We went in October last year (put off our September trip for a few weeks because of the hurricanes), it was definately a little more crowded than the September month. In Sept. you can pretty much walk on every single ride! It is so worth it!!! Have a great time. Enjoy!!!
