Like the have a penny / need a penny by cashiers.

I have three points in a holding account that I would be happy to transfer if it is allowed. They are to expire May 31, 2004

I needed two points and posted a few weeks back - someone gave me the two points I needed (thanks Don!!) and so I would be happy to repay the favor.

Can you transfer from the holding account??

Well, I called MS to answer this question - I was told that I cannot transfer points to another member that are in my holding account.

Does that sound right to everyone?

i just looked thru my 2003,2004-2005 guide book and all it says is points in a holding account cannot be banked or borrowed, nothing about transfer, try calling ms again and maybe you will get someone else to get a second answer.

dvc needs a better section on transferring points

<font face="times" size="+0">Annette, the person you spoke with at MS was incorrect. you can indeed transfer points that are in your holding account, <i>as long as</i> those points were regular points (not banked, not borrowed).

i had trouble with this myself, but if you insist that they double check with a supervisor, they should come back and tell you, "okay, you were right, we can do the transfer". at least that's what happened with me.

btw, for reference, you can look at the link in my sig for info on transferring rules. good luck!

(wdwstar, you will find zero info in your guidebook. the only info is in your POS. i think DVC really discourages transferring points, so unfortunately there's no incentive for them to make it easier for us to do it.)</font>

disneyberry thanks, i figure dvc doesnt like us to transfer , look how we can only transfer in or out per use year, im starting to think dvc makes everything complicated.

Hate to be a party pooper here but I have been through this before and holding points cannot be transferred to another member. If you look in the most recent POS documents, you will see it clearly spelled out when it talks about transfers and holding points. Unfortunately, I do not have the information as to the exact document and page reference at home but if anyone would like to have the reference, I can look it up for them when I get to the office in the morning.
