I purchased MM online, it is linked to my husband's MDE account. I am listed under his MDE as family -- and that he manages "me" (in Disney only, wink wink). He added our friend's family (mom, dad, 3 kids) as family to his MDE account. It shows that the mom manages all 5 people. It shows that mom can view all of our plans and can view & purchase our PP photos.
Did he add them to his account or just link them as friends and family? If they have their own MDE account(s) and he also put them on his account there will be issues (maybe not with MM, but with something Disney) because he would have created multiples of the same person in the system. If he just linked them as friends/family, then ignore the above
.
Now, in Mom's account, my husband (not me) is listed as family, and that he can view her plans, and view & purchase her PP photos.
Same thing here. If everyone is linked as friends and family, each person who is the owner of a MDE account should be able to see the others through their account.
Do each of us (husband and me, all 5 family friends) need to show in our respective MDE settings that we can all view & purchase PP photos? I just want to be sure if one of the kids rides a photo ride alone that the kid's magic band will get picked up by the system. This will be their first (and probably only) trip to WDW as a family, so I don't want to mess anything up.
Only the owners of the MDE accounts need to give permission to view/purchase photos. The owner is basically giving the permission for any people they manage on their account. If a person does't have a MDE account, there won't be an option available for them to give permission.
So, I guess what I'm asking is whether all of our names need to be in both MDE accounts with settings set for permission to view and purchase PP photos in order to be sure we're getting all the pictures that could possibly be taken. Also, just to be clear, my hubby & I are going next week. They are going November 7-14.
Thanks for all your help!
