Have a Photopass Question? Ask me!

We're probably riding the typical ones, but not the very scary ones. So DS and DH are riding Splash, we're all riding BTMR, Buzz, 7DMT, but no one is riding Space Mountain or Tower or Terror or Rock n Roll Roller coaster. Very cool how the rides link automatically. Is a list posted somewhere of the rides that are included?

For characters, we only have A&E booked at the moment since the other ones will be with our meals (CRT, Akershus and Chef Mickeys).

There should be a list of rides and restaurants on the Memory Maker site- this is the most recent one I could find:

Dining Locations included in the Memory Maker package are: 1900 Park Fare(Grand Floridian Resort), Ohana(Polynesian Resort), Princess Storybook Dining(at Norway’s Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot), Chef Mickey’s(Contemporary Resort), Cinderella’s Royal Table(Magic Kingdom), Tusker House(Animal Kingdom), Hoop-de-doo Review(Fort Wilderness), and the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show(Polynesian resort).

It should be noted that the pictures are outside the dining room, not with the characters inside. It is also ONLY the digital copy, not the print they bring to the table. The print is a separate purchase now. I have not seen photographers inside at all. I have also heard that this is being discontinued in some places in January?

Attraction photos included in the Memory Maker package are: Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Tower of Terror, Rockin’ Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, and Test Track.

I know Tower of Terror just added a ride video, and others are expected to do so as well. I thought I had also heard that 7DMT might have added/be adding a photo? I know I have heard that others are supposed to be added as well, but which rides will add pictures or videos and when are not known.

You may decide to interact with some characters as you are walking around- that is what we typically did. I will say that the Monsters, Inc. characters in HS have been really good for us the past couple of years- very interactive and entertaining. Town Square Mickey is another I would recommend. There are plenty out and about- see how you feel as you walk around. You might be surprised!

!

They no longer offer the prints for sale at the dining locations. As of January Akershus and CRT will no longer give the print packages with the meals. Alll of these photos will only be available though the Photopass site.

This is super helpful and gives me an idea of what is included.
So I guess for us, we could use it at Ohana, Akershus and CRT (although the latter two include photos anyways)...and for rides, Splash, Buzz, and Test Track if DS can get on single rider (no FP).
And yeah...agree that we could still meet other characters, just not planned via FP at the moment.

Anyone know if they have photographers at BBB?

Yes, and if you have the MM you can also go for a photo shoot afterwards. I had 3 kids do BBB and we had about 50 pics from there and then another 150 from the photo shoot afterwards....and those were all unique photos (no edits done to them).

Will they still be a part of memory maker?
Yes, they are supposed to be.

Great. I noticed that one of the BBB packages includes a photo package (the $$$ package). So if we had MM, then this wouldn't be needed then, right???

(Was just planning on doing the package anyways with hair, nails and makeup)

Uggg....still cant figure out how to see the video...does it just come up with a play button. It is so weird cause I can see the ToT ride video with no problem.

At the bottom of the specific park page (MK or Epcot for me) there looks to be a picture but it's a tinkerbell video screen that has a circle with a triangle in it. You hit the button with your mouse and the video plays. This is not the original magic shot picture, that is in date/time stamp order, but they use that still shot to make a video short.

Not all my magic shots were made into videos. Only two and this wasn't something I knew they did.

Do you mean newly added after a couple of days where the magic shots has appeared? I would love to get the Mike one and I got a couple of shots before Spaceship earth wondering if I could request for that??

It was not the photographers with the tripod but a photographer that had the camera on a neck strap. I asked her if she had time to do some magic shots. She walked us through two. One was later used to make a video short. It was not something That was done for me last year. Must be new.

I didn't need the big package, we did the step above the basic one. We just went and told them that we had MM and they did the shoot.

We were there there 8/22-28. Ohana had photopass photog at breakfast with Stitch at breakfast. There were actually two photogs. They would alternate tables so they could capture the interaction right away while the previous table would be getting their band scanned. There was no dinner photopass photographer outside the restaurant like previously noted by others. Perhaps because of construction?? We received leis but that was from the singer.

There hasn't been a picture taken with dinner, only for the breakfast. The one at breakfast was moved into the restaurant with Stitch, probably because of the construction.

Apologies if this is contained somewhere in the thread but a quick search couldn't find-we will only be at WDW this trip a short time and for assorted reasons have decided against purchasing MemoryMaker (have used Photopass in the past) but I anticipate I may want to buy one Photopass pic taken at MNSSHP-can you buy just one photo and on the night how do I go about it? Do I visit a Photopass centre before the end of the night, view and buy a print there and then? Can you still do this? Thanks

You can do that or you can buy it on the web site. Memory Maker is just a product they sell, it's not even done through PhotoPass. That service is still around and still available.

Same question sort of: If you buy it on the website will you get a real photo mailed to your home, or are you just paying for a download into your computer ?

Thanks

You purchase either a print or a download. The download comes with print rights but the print does not.

I have read this entire thread and think it just saved me a little money.

My family and my sister's family will be at WDW for almost the exact same dates. They will arrive a few days earlier and we will be staying a few days longer. All our family members are linked. She has already purchased MM.

Am I correct in thinking that at this point MM would not be a financially wise decision as all our photos will automatically go to my sister's MM account? In fact, if I purchased MM we would essentially have 2 accounts with the same photos and the only advantage is that we would both have access to download photos, right? Does it just make more sense to offer to reimburse my sister 50% of the MM cost?

Just make sure that in addition to being linked as friends and family, that you are also authorized to view/purchase each others' pictures (just the owners of the MDE accounts need to do this). Yes, you are correct, though. The only advantages would be that you could edit and download photos from your own account versus it only being done from your sister's account. So, definitely save yourself the money and pay your sis half.
