I have a standing NYE date with DH. We've never actually made it to midnight though. I'd much rather stay home that night--I make a bunch of appetizers and we watch movies. A perfect evening for us.

That sounds like a great evening. I'd plan something like that, but my wife is a musician and she's always working on holidays, including NYE.
