haunted mansion

i am not sure if this is what the ride is called in florida, in paris it is called
haunted mansion. i have read somewhere it is not open, does anyone know if it is open in april.

I don't see it on any refurbishment lists I've seen. Pirates of the Carribbean will be closed in April, though.

Haunted Mansion in Disneyland out in California was recently closed (during our one visit, sob) but I think that's reopened now, too.

In Paris, it's called the Phantom Manor. It's in Frontierland and has more of a ghost-town theme to it, with lots of emphasis on The Bride and her loss (though I prefer to think that she has a happy ending when all is said and done).

It's the Haunted Mansion in both California and Florida. The one in California closes every year before Halloween for install the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay which remains through the holiday season. They then close the ride again to remove the Nightmare Before Christmas there. It has re-opened again this year.

I haven't heard anything about the Haunted Mansion in Florida being closed or due for closure this year. It better not be because I'm hoping to be at WDW late this summer/early this autumn and I'd like a ride on it again--it's been a long time.

My ds was in MK on Thursday (Spring break) and he told me that not only was Haunted Mansion opened but that they had a fast pass for HM. I hope he wasn't mixed up and that the FP are back again at HM.

I like the Haunted Mansion. The only exception being the time when It broke down, with my doom buggy outside the dining hall. I had to suffer the duel between the two paintings at least 30 times.

They don't have the duel at DLR or DLP.

I havent been to WDW for almost two years now, I am so due a trip, I'm determined to get there before November.

Since we're kind of comparing HMs around the globe, I thought I'd post this picture of Phantom Manor from DLP. If anyone thinks that HM is so different between MK and DL, this one is really different.

Trivia bit: the creepy guy (I'm not sure what he is called...Crypt Keeper, Scary Skeleton Dude that, of course, my doom buggy broke down in front of?), in the graveyard scene has eery maniacal laughter. Eery, and familiar...it's Vincent Price, quite possibly the scariest man ever (probably because my older sister used to put on Thriller and turn the lights off during his part...I'm not bitter )

I was at the HM several times this past week and it was open and running as normal. I did not see the FP's available at any time that I was at the attraction however.

You mean where the ghosts come out of the paintings, then turn and shoot at each other? Unless it's been remodeled, the DLR HM most certainly has that scene.

On our last two trips, we haven't been able to fastpass HM. And, on our map, HM was not listed as a FP attraction. But I was sure that we had done FP in the past. Are they not doing that any more?
