Haunted Mansion themed resort

I wonder if they ever considered a Haunted Mansion themed Hotel and resort. Would any of you ever stay there? I'd stay there every trip

Years ago, they considered Haunted Mansion rooms when they were developing the Royal Rooms at POR and Pirate rooms at CBR. Unfortunately, the HM rooms never came to fruition. You might be able to do a board search to pull up old threads about it.

Would definitely stay there at least once. Would think not many kids would like it..... Might be scared of all the "ghosts".

When we first rode Haunted Mansion in 1979 (I was 10) I was terrified and they had to let all four of us (Mum, dad, sister, me) into a doom buggy together! I would NOT have stayed there when I was younger but now we would love it.

I would stay there to try it out, but I don't think it will be somewhere I would want to stay every time. I also think this will be a hit with Disney fans but not for most people so I don't see Disney doing this.

I would love it but I wonder if the theming is a bit niche?

They could do a new resort split into five ride themed sections say - Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan or Dumbo, Big Thunder or Splash, Tiki, Tiki Room and Space Mountain.

That'd be my dream anyway.

Does one of Disney's international park have at least a hotel with some Haunted Mansion themed rooms? I swear I've seen photos on the internet, but maybe they were just renderings.

No just no, but HECK NO!

I love the HM but there's no way that I would want to spend the night in room themed like one of the scenes. I think that it might have an appeal for a small market and might be an interesting section of an attractions-based resort or even resurrected as themed rooms at POR. But not as an entire resort.

That would be cool! And maybe add a picture frame on the wall with some kind of scenes displayed (like the virtual portholes)....then guests who didn't want the creepy stuff could just switch it off.

DH is so incredibly sad that we can't stay in HM rooms now!! I guess my family is weird b/c all of the kids would love that - sleeping in a doom buggy?? oh my, they would be thrilled! It was always DH's favorite ride, so I guess the HM love has spread to our kids and nieces.
