You asked for input on something based on fantasy and I gave it.

Kids are fickle at times. Kids are unpredictable at times. Kids are scared of their closet and under the beds at times. Kids are scared of characters in costumes at times. Haven’t visualized it because it was in the dark, but last time we rode HM I heard a kid about 7 years old bawling his eyes out on the ride.

When my daughter was one and two she went on fine. When we went back last year and she was three years old she cried for a good portion of the ride. She is now also afraid of pirates of the Caribbean and the voyage of the little mermaid because of Ursula. Kids are unpredictable.

I personally would never attempt to book a hotel like that because I know how my kids are. I’m not sure other families can say the same thing. Too many parents don’t do their due diligence with certain things or are just unaware of what they are getting themselves into.

Actually, my oldest son hated the HM until he was about 12. He was terrified of it (have no clue why) and yes, we were “those” parents that made him ride it every single time we went. He was an incredibly anxious child and if he had to stay at a hotel that had a similar theme, no one in our family would’ve gotten any sleep. So there are indeed kids out there who do t care for it.

Admittedly, when I was younger, I too was afraid of HM but I’m grateful my parents made me go on. And of course, we will make my afraid daughter go on when we are back there in July lol
