Haunted Mansion Refurb

Two weeks ago Kenny the Pirate reported the Haunted Mansion refurb would be extended until 12/5 but Disney is allowing fast pass selections for 12/3 which is the last day of our trip. All the other articles I see say only up unt 12/1. Should I book the l book the fast pass or just. Go with what Kenny said?

I think it was extended up to 12/1 and should be opened on 12/2, I had looked it up on kenny last night for another thread as I remembered it being 12/5 also.

I'm super excited if this is the case. I had written it off as impossible down our trip' I will be beyond excited to get to see some hitchhiking ghosts if this is the case.

As long as Disney has not cancelled your FP , you should be ok. Things like this are subject to change though so I would keep an eye on it.

I moved my 12/4 FP to 12/6 based on Kenny's article, not a big deal for me just covering in case he is right.

Haven't heard anything more about it and my original FP wasn't cancelled.

there was 1 rumor/slip that it might be installing the hotbox ghost. based on it's timing I think it's to spruce up the area that the queue is located since it's really short and about the time you need for primer to dry so you can paint over over and let that dry. (or fix some of the walkway). maybe replacing the canvas canopy you stand under..

I'd like the Hatbox Ghost so much better than sprucing up the queue area!!

Yeah this is probably the case. The canopy is down, the scrim is down....so whatever paint they sid is finished.

I doubt a n animatronic like the HBG could be installed in that short time.

I went ahead and made the fast pass with hopes that if it's closed they will shoot me an email telling me they canceled it. Here's hoping that doesn't happen.

If it does get cancelled, they will for sure send you a notification over the MDE app. All but one of the sites I've looked at this evening still have the refurb ending 12/1. You should be in good shape. Just don't forget to bring your death certificate.
