Haunted Mansion : Real Hauntings

I was just on a website "Doombuggies" and I was reading the stories about the rumors of Ghosts really haunting the Cast Members working the Haunted Mansion. If anyone has any stories or knows anything I believe this would be the best topic to post it in..

By the way there are a few of doombuggies website but I was hoping for more

Hahaha I like that part where she says hurry back it gets so annoying..But it is a good addition...

There was a one on doombuggies that talked about this one cast member who was working late shift and while she was walking slowly on the moving floor area that a Buggie came back with a man in it who looked like a described man who was killed in a plane crash in a nearby lake that rumor had it was haunting the haunted mansion...And when the Cm tried to talk to it it never talked back and just went back through the ride and when the cm asked the exit person at the exit area why she sent someone through there she said she didn't

I actually know 3 different people who have been visted by her. The 1st one pointed her out to me, while we were riding it. The other 2 people told me they had been visited by an angel, and when I described the little lady in HM, they said that was what they saw. None of the 3 people know each other.

How odd, perhaps not, that this thread was started, several weeks after I had a "happening" at the "Haunted Mansion".

I am very much a believer of the unexplained/supernatural, so had no qualms about going on the Haunted Mansion ride 3 times during my visit to WDW.

Every time we went in, we stood next to the wall(move away)but stayed close enough that we were still on the outer perimeter of the room. The CM cloistered everyone into the center of the room...the huddled masses...the room dropped, then the lights went out, as they should, just before the "wall" opened to reveal the Mansion's massive hallway. It was at the moment of complete darkness that I felt someone hurriedly brush pass my left side, the side that was nearest the wall. No one was behind me and only my fiance was in front of me.

I quickly reached out to feel who was passing me but felt no one. At that moment, I grabbed my fiance's arm, telling him what had just happened to me.

I've mentioned the incident several times since, last night being the latest.

The incident did not frighten me...I actually was quite excited about it!

I will now wait patiently, albeit excitedly, to hear what has happened to others in the Haunted Mansion.

I've posted these before - and they're all 3rd hand so take them as you like. When I did my college program, one of my managers and I somehow got on the subject one slow night. She started telling me these stories that one of her friends, who was a manager in the HM area, had told her. We were standing in the middle of MGM with me grilling her, trying to get her to "break"and tell me she's BSing me, but she honestly believed the stories and according to her, do does her friend.

The one I find hardest to believe, is that supposedly CMs go out in the morning to rake the "fresh grave" so it looks fresh. . . and when they do, the ride stops (when they're doing ride throughs and starting up before park opens) She claims this is documented in ride logs - I've never actually asked anyone at HM.

The other two are similar - guests reporting things back to CMs at the end of the ride. The first is early on when you're looking down the "hallway" with the candelabra at the end. Guests have stopped CMs at the end and praised the "new touch" and how creepy it was to see someone standing at the end of the hallway. The second is in the music room - at the end of the ride guests have commented to CMs how much it scared them and what a great touch it was to have someone sitting in a chair at the table. You guessed it - all CMs were accounted for, no one was in that room.

I'm also a fan of TAPS and would be interested in what they might come up with. I'd even volunteer to be part of the team on this one, or any other investigation in the Central Florida area. They had some amazing success at two locations up in St. Augustine recently.

I love TAPS , especially "twitchy" Tango. How great would that be for them to investigate WDW!! We would definately have to tape that one.

Unfortunately, TAPS would investigate, collect lots of evidence and find nothing of real consequence. Love the show's concept, but very little amounts to anything!

That St Augustine show was freaky. We are stopping there on our are way to WDW in November just for that reason.

The fact that they don't find a lot of stuff makes the show that more interesting as opposed to Most Haunted on the Travel Channel with that wack job Derek. The interpersonal things on TAPS makes it as much fun as finding ghost. The drama between the characters is great.

Well, I've never experienced anything IN HM, but this year I wanted a picture of Madame Leota's headstone outside HM--you know, the one where her eyes open and they're that VERY spooky green color? Anyway, I didn't necessarily want it when her eyes were open--it happens pretty fast--I just wanted a picture of the headstone itself. I put my camera inside the bars so I wouldn't get them in the picture and snapped what I thought was an awesome picture. I get my film back and it is a GREAT picture--except about 1/3 of it on the right hand side is a white mist. I guess Madame Leota does not appreciate me photographing her headstone--it would have been SUCH a cool picture!!! If I knew how to post pictures, I'd put it up--but alas, I'm computer challenged in some areas!! By the way, none of the other pictures from 9 rolls of film have this phenomenon on them.

I think it's pretty cool that there are "ghost stories" related to the Haunted Mansion". After all Walt did invite them.
