Last year, we went to Disneyland and the Haunted Mansion had been transformed into a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. My husband was terribly upset. This year in October we are going to Disney World. Does anyone know if the MK does the same thing as Disneyland or will he be happy to see his normal 999 ghosts? Thanks

I'm with your DH on this one, I do not like anything about the Nightmare before Christmas theme!!! Yuck :crazy2:  :crazy2:

BUT, the good news is that they don't roll that out until a few weeks after halloween (maybe later, not positive) so you should be able to see the Mansion in all it's glory!!
Have a GREAT time!! :wave2:

I'm pretty sure that MK doesn't do it to their Haunted Mansion. Like, 99% sure. :)

 THANKS!!!! He will be very relieved. You said that they do not roll it out until after Halloween. Does that mean that they do transform the MK but not until after Halloween?

No, I don't think they do the one in MK AT ALL. I'm pretty sure it's just a Disneyland thing.

Thank you Thank you. I will now be able to get him on the plane. He was very pouty about the whole thing. :goodvibes

Oh man! I would love to see the HM transformed into a NBX! How neat would that be? I mean, not a premanant thing, just for a little while.

Well one year the castle (at Magic Kingdom) was transformed into a giant pink wedding cake. And every year recently a section of Disney MGM Studios is transformed into a festive holiday lights display. So I would not be surprised if some time in the future Haunted Mansion is given special decorations for a short period of time.

I believe it was a birthday cake and not a wedding cake.

They only do it at Disneyland. I've never seen it - and glad I haven't!! I like haunted mansion the way it is! They don't do it at Disneyworld.

Anyway, they don't get MNSSHP at Disneyland. Maybe that is their special "thing" to make up for it! Suckers! LOL :rotfl2:

I enjoy both, but I must say that the Haunted Mansion Holiday is very impressive. When I was there a few years ago, my cousin and I rode 4 times because it was so cool. The stretching room sequence is the best part of the overlay.

I actually went on the HM at WDW for the first time a few weeks ago...and I must say it does not come close to the original at Disneyland.
