Yes, I am rather good with run on sentences. A thousand pardons! That is something that I am trying to work on. Thank you for noticing the error of my ways.

One of my points being, that if one really truly appreciates the original HM, then one will not condone the changes that nbc entails.

I hope I did not sound too high and mighty for your delicate sensibilities.

I continue to read on this site and elsewhere, how much booty is given at MTOT party. Sounds like it will make many a dentist happy! he he!

I hope that everyone that visits Disneyland during the current time frame, enjoys every aspect of said trip.
Further more, there is nothing wrong with anyone enjoying HMH, as much as I enjoy the non-HMH.

I was there last Friday. I had no idea that there would be a Holiday Overlay so I was more than surprised. i never saw the movie but know that my DD and DSIL love it so I wasted no time calling and giving them my best "neener neeer neener! "It was really a treat!

Went again to DL on Friday night...we LOVED HM more the second time!!! This ride is truly AWESOME!!! AND I saw the LIST!!! As we walked around the LAND, I notice how soooo many people have NBC T's on, NBC hats on, NBC "EARS" on. NBC is just so incredibly popular at the LAND!!!

It's incredible how popular NBC has gotten. I remember when it came out people were like ?? and now they're all over it! I'm so glad that it's popular

The California sign in front of DCA is amazing!

Enjoy that while you can, that is supposed to go away with the new DCA remodel (wasn't that supposed to start by now?).

I love NBC! I saw it the first time the day it opened on my B-day back in 1993. I ended up seeing the movie three times that week. Its funny back then no one knew what it was and now its everywhere!

I love both the original and the HMH! I think both are so much fun. I think I love the HMH because it also reminds me what I love about the original when its gone. Sort of that absence makes the heart grow founder sort of thing.

Though I am not going to lie the overlay on IASW does not make me grow founder for the original, in fact its far less annoying hahahah! But I would never think of letting them get rid of the original and besides who wants to hear Jingle bells in August

I think I am going to make a special trip on Tuesday, I so want to be in the park right now!!! I love Halloween and then nothing is more magical then Christmas at DLR!

You bet they were. Now my DD and her DH have seen NBC but I never have, I only know some of the characters from them and my DGD but I knew enough about it to enjoy the entire attraction. Now my DSIL is trying to figure out how he can get out there to see it. Hopefully it will be around another year because they would like to take Kady out to DL and DCA. I really enjoyed both parks and know that the little one would like both as well.

It's leaving?! But it's so awesome! I'm wondering how they're going to do the remodeling and still have the park open. It seems like such a huge project that they would have to close the park at some time. I totally understand what you mean about the overlay making you fonder of the original. And I prefere the IASW holiday overlay to the original too! That's so funny XD Have an awesome trip.

It's becoming more and more known as each year passes so I don't think it's going anywhere. It's helping to draw in larger crowds in the off season. Your family will be able to enjoy it for years to come!

As one who truly appreciates the original Haunted Mansion…the original one prior to 2006, with Emily the Bleeding Bride*…I think it’s a little presumptuous of you to tell me or anyone that just because we love (condone) the NBC overlay, that we must not appreciate the “original’ Haunted Mansion.

I have loved (appreciated) the Hunted Mansion from my very first ride in the summer of 1969…the ride had just opened, and HM was one of my first e-ticket rides…I have been able to enjoy (appreciated) the Hunted Mansion for over 39 years.
And I also love the Haunted Mansion overlay to the NBC and feel very lucky that this year I will get to see it (HM) in all it’s scary NBC splendor…


*I also like (appreciate) the Constance Hatchaway addition.

I see that your kids are going to DL for the first time; that's so great! I can't wait to see the looks on my kids faces (when I have them ) when I take them for the first time. And you're spending Christmas at WDW! That's really the most magical time to go. Enjoy your trips!

LOVED IT!! While i'm highly fond of the original this was cute I love NBC. My 4 y/o dd had me on it 4-5 times a day, and we MET JACK WOOHOO. Cute cute
