Haunted Mansion Fastpass

In Hydroguys fastpass tips, it mentions that SM, Splash & Indy are the most popular fastpass attractions. I am wondering how Haunted Mansion Holiday compares with these in regards to running out of fastpasses. Does its popularity match the other 3 big rides, does it give out fastpasses late into the evening most days, or is it somewhere in between?

Just thought I would mention this now because there will be some very busy weekends the next few weeks (Gay Days, Veteran’s Day), and maybe somebody can notice how quickly HMH uses up its fastpasses as compared to the other fastpass rides. I know that weekdays are not real busy for the most part right now, but I am interested to see how this works out for busy weekends.

Thanks.

I don't know if this will help, but....I have Ridemax and I set up an itinerary for Sat., Nov. 10th (Vet's Weekend). I started my time at noon which is when I hope to get into the park on our day of arrival.

It has me getting FP for HMH first, then 1 hour later getting one for SM, then 2 hours later getting one for Indy. Being able to get a FP for SM within an hour of getting HMH FP tells me that we should be able to get those puppies (HMH FP) pretty much all day...wouldn't you agree?

I thought it interesting (and hopeful) that even on a holiday weekend and getting to the park late, that I would still be able to get FPs for 3 of the most popular attractions. :goodvibes

when we picked up our FP on 9/21, the day it opened, at just about 11am, we had a return time of 2:30.

granted, it was the first day of the holiday decorations, but it was still only a Friday.

Never had to use a FP on Haunted Mansion and we have been during some of the most busy times. Maybe a 10 minute wait ostly thru the whole day.

I never use fastpass on HMH. The line moves too quickly for me to bother getting on fast but losing the chance to get a splash mountain FP after.

HMH FP runs out just as often as BTMRR or Autopia. Basically it doesn't normally, and if it does, it would be late in the day.

I agree. HMH FP is not as popular as the bug three. Similar to BTMRR, I save the FP pickup for afternoon or early evening.

The line for HMH moves so fast because it is constantly loading, that you just don't need to waste a FP on it. I have yet to need one any year it has been offered, never more than a 20 minute wait, and I go at all different times busy and slow.

Just a hint though... I have seen people do this more than one time - do NOT send a runner to get your Splash FP's while the rest of your group gets in line for HMH. I don't care what book or guide or computer program tells you to do it, it is just plain rude. The lines for HMH get pretty narrow and tight and for someone to squeeze past everyone to catch up with their party is obnoxious. Just my opinion
(Not suggesting any particular guide mentioned here - but I know there is one that tells people to do that, just don't know which one it is)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you will probably not end up getting a FP for all 3 of those rides if you are not even arriving until noon that day. That weekend traditionally is so crowded that there are gate closures at some point. I would pick the one you really want to ride that day and start with it, then you won't be as dissapointed when the others are gone by the time you get there. You don't need to waste one on HMH.

Thanks folks, it is good to know what to expect. I'll take care of the "Big 3" first and deal with HMH as time allows.

It's been a long time since we've gone in October, so I feel hopeful after reading some of the posts about the line not being too long. I think it was late Oct. 2003 the last time we went, and the line was horrible! The fastpass line was always moving, but if you were standby it was a good hour or more wait! Maybe that was the first year of the ride or something? I remember not being very fond of that fastpass line. LOL
